Still performing well after nearly 4 years
I've been using this SUP pump for nearly four years, and I'm quite pleased overall. I've come to rely on it so much that, when we travel with our SUPs, we take the pump too. (Pro tip: If you plan to travel with the pump, wrap the power cord around it and then wrap the whole thing in bubble wrap or some other protective covering, as the plug on ours was once crushed in the process of airline baggage handling. I was able to replace it myself using YouTube.)I've never had an issue inflating two boards - one right after the other - to 15 and 18 psi, respectively. The pump is obnoxiously loud, but that appears to be common among these sorts of pumps. I have occasionally needed to apply some manual pressure with a hand or knee to the board for 10-20 seconds (as others have mentioned), in order to get the second stage of pumping to "kick in." Once you realize that's a "thing," it's not that big a deal.I would also like to praise Seamax's customer service. After nearly four years of use, I recently had an issue in which I noticed that I could no longer create a tight seal between my boards and the pump. After checking everything I could check on both boards and the pump, and trying multiple different gaskets (O-rings), I thought that I just needed to replace the O-ring with another of identical thickness, as perhaps the O-ring was old and failing. I couldn't find another of the correct thickness, so I emailed Seamax and they sent me a couple of O-rings of the thickness I wanted, without charge. I thought that was very nice. Anyway, it turned out I was wrong and there were actually some micro-cracks in the plastic piece that attaches the hose to the valve on the board. I suspect these cracks were more from repeated manhandling during travel than an actual defect in the pump's hose. For a few bucks, I replaced that piece and the hose now makes a perfect seal with the boards, again. This pump does what it's supposed to do, and it has lasted for almost four years and counting, so I am happy.

Lasted 3 Seasons, Broke=totally dead, I fixed it.
This has been reliable for 3 years until recently. So that is why I'm giving it 4 stars.A few weeks ago I handed it off to my sister-in-law on her boat, rafted up to mine, so she could finish pumping up her SUP (her pump wasn't pumping above ~.5psi...now I know why from reading other reviews:^)).My pump just died, never started, done? I just used it on my wife's SUP on my boat so what happened?I have two theories: one, the other boat's ciggy lighter port has a corroded connection which didn't provide high enough voltage and somehow this cooked my pump (weak theory); two is that my brother-in-law started his motor after my pump was plugged in and this surge (starter motor disconnecting) fried my pump (strong theory).I like theory 2 as this is a well known occurrence in automobiles known as "Load Dump", all that starter energy in its coils dumps back onto the 12V bus creating a high voltage event. The Seamax has ZERO protection on its 12V input against high voltage transients. The 12V to 5V "78M05" regulator was fried only outputting 2.9V instead of 5V: this explains the total deadness of it as the microcontroller couldn't boot. I bought the 78M05 at Digikey for about $2.00 plus $8.00 shipping:^( It arrived and within about 30 minutes I had the Seamax happy again with its new 78M05. Note screws are T10-Security Pin, but a vanilla T-10 gets just enough purchase to back them out. However, while inside the unit I added a TVS across 12V to GND, "Transient Voltage Suppressors". I happened to have a ~22V BiDir TVS on hand which will protect against > +/-22V events, and I added a 1N4004 in parallel to protect negative events beyond -.7V. If I had a UniDir TVS, no 1N4004 required. So now my unit has a bit of "Load Dump" protection. Don't be too harsh on Seamax for omitting protection as most all automotive Aftermarket Products have zero protection too. So I'd guess ditto for Marine aftermarket stuff.Seamax could add a single UniDir TVS across 12V-GND for about $.05, just saying. Also, No, I won't let sister-in-law touch this repaired unit!

It works great
It did what it was supposed to do and it was fairly simple and quic👍

Quality build, great connectors... just not fast enough, and it overheats
I so wanted this to like this pump. Decided to spend the money on the "good one" thinking that I'd have no issues. The build of the unit is great. Super easy to use. The different washers for the SUP connector allow for a perfect fit. I was dismayed to find that it took at least 2x as long for this pump to inflate my SUP as compared to me sweating it out with the cheap, plastic floor pump that came with the boat. But I could almost bear that extra time... until the pump shut off (thermal over-load is my only guess) before my second SUP even reached 4 PSI. The hose right at the connection to the pump was hot to the touch after the first inflation, so when I disconnected (after reaching 15 PSI), I allowed the pump to just blow with no resistance to cool it off. Two minutes later, I began to pump the other boat, but that hose just got hotter (as did the pump, obviously) and it shut down well before getting to pressure. I finished up in a couple of minutes with the manual pump. Ambient temp was under 70 degrees. At sea level for this test. In the shade. Is this normal? Are others able to inflate multiple boards back-to-back?My whole plan for buying this pump was to save time and effort. Pumping even one board at elevation is tough for me. Two boards would just be too much, and it would be so much more enjoyable to effortlessly have them inflated next to the car. Well, turns out that using a cheap floor pump is still better than this. It took 17 minutes to inflate my first boat to 15 PSI (Pic included. Boat is 11 feet x 34 inches x 6 inches thick.). I work up a sweat, but I do it in half that time with the floor pump.Where oh where is that pump that works quickly and without over-heating?

Great, But Lasted 13 Months
Worked great for about 13 months. Warranty was just one year. I replaced it with a pump from West Marine, which works OK, but not as good as the Seamax.

Great, but flawed
This inflates a 12' 6" SUP in 11minutes. Really quiet to start with, then gets a bit noisier for the higher pressure pump stage. The deflate option is brilliant and allows about 20% reduction in pack size compared to rolling and deflating manually. Auto cut off when desired pressure is achieved is a very useful feature. All in all, a great piece of kit and really happy with it ... but ...The plug, which goes into the cigarette socket in the car, is made of cheap crappy plastic. It dropped on the floor and broke, so I've had to order a replacement for about £5, an unnecessary expenditure and hassle. Also, because my friend ordered a Seamax the other day, he has had to order a replacement plug because if his breaks like mine, then it may mean that the pump does not work when away on a trip. So, now he has to carry the spare plug with him in case.Next. Why is there a handle? The pump is lightweight so you don't need it to carry it and it nearly doubles the size of the pump, so it take up extra space. If it didn't have a handle then it would slip into the SUP rucksac. But it does, so it doesn't.Great pump, let down by a couple of faults - the rubbish, cheap plug is unforgivable.

Great pump
Used this a few times now and it's fantastic. Easy to set and inflate. Noisier on second stage but that's not an issue when you're out in the open on beach/river side. Takes approx 10 mins to inflate my SUP to 18psi. Deflate feature especially useful for getting the SUP folded up and tucked away into its case. The only problem is that my friends who don't have one queue up to use mine !

Great Pump!
AWESOME! I searched around and pickings were slim due to the rush on COVID paddleboarders. Cost a little more than other similar looking products but no complaints besides 2nd stage being LOUD. All pump reviews seem to say the same. Solid pump, 10 mins to 15PSI. Quicker if you fully unroll the paddleboard. 2nd stage kicks in when a certain pressure is reached. My arms are thankfull for it. Also deflates. I would recommend!

Best pump on the market so far
I bought this pump while thinking "this is crazy money" but I had to roll back on that though ... 100% worth the money .. it took just under 8 min to pump an 10.6 Sup from 0 to 20psi . Simple to use and the shut off is bang on , the pump is not too loud either . It comes with different size seals too ... the deflater is great as it makes it easier to repack ... i do thing the handle doesn't need to be there as it makes it a bit bigger but that is to only thing I found that could be changed ....extremelyhappy
