Brother Printer MFC7240 Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax,Grey, 12.2" x 14.7" x 14.6"

Awesome printer. I bought it because I wanted something durable and simple. It prints well and gets the job done quickly. Only downside is that the other functions are difficult to use, but hey, it's easy to print with and that's the main reason why I bought it.I LOVE how simple this machine is. I was so tired of printers that had to run "updates" and "reconfigure themselves" every time I used them. This one prints when I tell it to print - let's be real, that's the main thing we all want in a printer.You'll need to leave a little extra space around it to accommodate the vent, but the size is pretty compact given that it's also a fax machine.

This fax is worth it's weight in gold. Fast, great printing, many features. A bargain.

It's a good machine. It works and prints great.The materials are a bit on the cheap sign, but not enough to be a negative.Good:The install was easy for me, but not for someone older..The manual is substantial and does help.Bad:-Copier sucks if you need to feed the original through the scanner (it's the kind that needs to run the paper through, not the flatbed). It almost never works as necessary and often feeds the paper sideways.- Paper Jams were common before I really figured out how to do it.If you do frequent scanning, you really shouldn't get this machine. Only someone who needs the fax needs to get this machine. Otherwise, get a combo with the flatbed scanner.

I would buy again

Did some research prior to purchasing and found Amazon had the best price. My original order was defective and I had to request a return. Amazon had a new printer to me within 5 days and the return of the defective printer was painless. This printer is an upgrade to a previous Brother MFC and so far it has run flawless and all the functions work well. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for an all in one printer with a reliable reputation and quality functions.

i like the all in one function and i also installed the new toner because toner comes with it it has a short life so i also bought toner 450 high yield and installed after one week it should be good for next three months for me but after two weeks message keep coming up replace the toner try to reset the machine but the same problem even printing quality is great but its envoying i do not understand if its a glitch but not happy and its stop getting my fax incoming because the REPLACE TONER message blocked the incoming fax

This all in one fax/printer is great! Being able to scan straight to my computer is wonderful and the quality/image is so clear! Set up was a breeze with the manual. The only downfall that I did not read/notice is that the first toner only lasts up to 700 pages so I am already ordering toner but hey with such a great machine and how much extra work I've been able to get done it is extremely worth it!

I bought this machine 14 months ago, and have had nothing but trouble with it. First of all, the software did not work well, and I had to uninstall and reinstall several times. It would print and fax but not scan. Finally got that fixed, but then I kept getting the message that I needed to disconnect the cord between the machine and the computer for the printer function to work off the computer.Two days ago the display screen went black, and I have tried many things, unsuccessfully, to get it to come back on. The function buttons do not work either. So now, I can print off the computer, but without the screen or the function buttons I can not scan or fax.I have "Googled" the problem and evidently my only option is to take it to "my nearest authorized dealer". Since I live in the Caribbean, that would be Houston or Miami! So I am stuck with a non-functioning machine, and a brand new drum and toner cartridge that I bought as back-up.In addition to the above problems, though the machine has a phone (which is one reason I bought it), it does not have a built in answering device. It makes relatively pale black copies and does not have a flat screen on which to make copies. So forget trying to make copies of your passport or scan anything of bulk. It's also ugly.So, I am really sorry I bought this machine.
