Seems very fragile
I bought this some time ago but left it on a shelf until I needed itI just went to get the parallel rule and found that one of the rulers was broken right across at one of the rivets.I can only assume that this was caused by the recent spate of extremely hot weather.You can see the break on the attached photo, also half way broken on the other side.

I prefer my old Plastimo set
If this was my only set, and were cheaper, they would probably get a higher rating. However, my old Plastimo set feel much more sturdy; they are kept for the yacht, these I keep at home.

Good product, decent price.
This was a special offer at $19.99 so I jumped on it, down $30 from retail. Weems and Plath make qaulity navigation tools and this is no exception. If you're going offshore you should know how to use charts to navigate and this is one of the essential tools. Your gps might let you down one day. Be prepared.
