A lighthearted take on crime. Good reading.
Highly enjoyable. Some of the cases and the way they were described, had me laughing out loud. However, I feel it was spoiled by a couple of 'fillers' put in to pad the book out a bit. They were both out of place in this lighthearted book. The case of Harold Shipman wasn't particularly strange. He was a seedy serial killer. There was nothing funny or sensational about his trial. The last chapter of the book should have been omitted. It is difficult to see the point in cataloguing all the grisly child murderers of the last century. There's nothing amusing about any of them. It's almost as though the author thought he should mention the more serious cases just to show us that he knew of them and wasn't ignoring them completely.

An addition if studying Law
Bought this for my son who is studying Law - very interesting and a good read. It was on his list of recommended books for Law students.

Deja vu
Having read and enjoyed Mr. Seddon's "Law's Strangest Cases", I downloaded this volume, but was disappointrd to discover that all but a couple of the caes in this book were also in the other book. So, a bit of a swiz and a waste of my money.
