I bought this book and I really like it. I’ve only been playing the uke for two months and I like the variety of patterns and I use it to help with my chord progressions. The chords used in each exercise are clearly illustrated. I'm trying to challenge myself by combining two or four different patterns into one.

I received this book as a gift. Ended up selling it. The book is definitely NOT for beginner ukulele players. One of the first chords in the book is an E major chord. It seems like a guitar player wanted to write a beginner level guitar book and just transcribed everything to ukulele. E major is easy on guitar but not the easiest on ukulele. Try teaching this book to a class of beginner ukulele players and you'll be frustrated! Also, this book has no songs - just chords and rhythms written out. In order to read the rhythms, you'll need to know how to read music (or at least rhythm on a staff - not beginner). This book just was not for me - show me the music!!
