I didn't bother diluting with water as I like to skip steps and guess what still worked perfectly. It doesn't soak in like water but with a bit of pressure and perserverence it stays in.Took 2 coats to do the trick. Any stains on the floor washed off even days later (I was too tired to do it immediately, after a week of painting everything it still wiped off the floor with no hassle), didn'tstain the skin either, washed off couple days in(please don't judge, I get excited on an art project and can't stop). I do suggest to use a protective film because it will drip everywhere.Fun tip, don't let freshly painted surfaces to touch each other if you paint multiple items at once, the areas that touched will just vanish like dye was never there. Best to let any painted surface to stay untouched for a few hours. In 24-48h it was ready for use. Bit stiff at first but wears in pretty quickly, no stain on skin or clothes, getting wet doesn't mess with it, it's in the fabric for good.The 5l canister was enough for 2 coats for a big 2 seater couch, a rocking chair and a 2 seater storage box with almost a 1l left over for future use. Highly recommend!*couch was cream coloured, chair and box medium gray - all have the same tone of black for finish, eventhough all 3 textures were pretty different from each other. Made my livingroom soooooo much better, I will never stop raving about it to people!Buy it, great value for money, works perfectly, fantastic diy to revamp anything fabric based.

I used it to change the colour of my chocolate brown sofabed. I wanted it to be black, but it changed to a charcoal colour, which I was still happy with.Note that this is a very messy job. Prepare well. I had limited space and used a roll of self-adhesive carpet protector sheeting, as well as a dust sheet and plastic tarp. I just had new carpets installed and didn't want to take any chances, You will need rubber gloves, a funnel (to pour into your spray bottle) I would advise using a spray bottle, and a tray of some sort, for the drips. If you are going to take longer than a day, I would suggest soaking the spray bottle nozzle if it is not being used for a few hours, as it gets caked with the dye and won't spray properly. The bottle does say to use it as is, so, I didn't dilute it. Just shake the bottle really well. I used 4/5L initially, but will use more now that it has dried and I can see some parts that need a little more to cover properly. Overall, I'm happy with the result.

I purchased this product because it’s 5 liters, and I thought it would provide good coverage, especially since it’s black. However, it has proven to be very disappointing. The quality is subpar, and it dries to a greyish hue rather than the expected black. It also doesn’t cover stains on a fabric. It is certainly not fast drying as advertised. I regret not paying more attention to the negative reviews and experiences. The seller has been unhelpful, and now I’m stuck looking for a better product to replace this one. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this at all.

It’s black carpet dye. It dyes carpet black. Easy to use. Excellent coverage. A nightmare if you spill it in the wrong place... oh, and don’t get it on yer skin - takes a fair bit of scrubbing to get it off. Use it as an excuse to wear latex gloves, if that’s your thing...

After reading other reviews stating that coverage is not very good or needed multiple coats I purchased 2 to ensure that I had enough to dye the roof lining of my Range Rover Sport. I have to say that Inhave NO IDEA what those reviews are on about.I applied this dye with a 2 inch paint.brush all over the roof lining which was Cream colour and after ONLY 1 coat it is now pure Black and does not need a second coat, also it only used 1 litre from only 1 5 litre bottle so it turns out that I have 9 litres of the 10 litres that I purchased.Superb product and I highly recommend, thank you.

Product was easy to use and I followed the instructions exactly. I did use all 5 Ltrs on a mocha brown lounge carpet. It did take the 72 hrs to dry as per the label. It took on a full black colour initially but after a month of use and standard hoovering it has taken on a more dark oak shade. We did not want to get a new carpet whilst our old dog is on the go and the result suits us fine. If you want a jet black carpet buy one or consider using 2 or 3 application of this product.

Purchased a 5ltr done most of all the boot area and most of the carpet works really well, but if you wanted a nice deep black u need to do a few coats my only complaint would be that after it all drys the fabric texture always seems very dry and rough to the touch like it looses all of its fluffiness if that makes any sense lol
