The material feels just like plastic and is as strong as plastic, yet unlike plastic it will break down and degrade within a year.These bags are perfect for me to use in my office at home as I have small waste bins that take this size bag that can be used for bagging up rubbish straight from the bin.Some may think that these bags are a little on the expensive side, but when you consider that a proper plastic carrier bag will still be around 40-50 years from now, polluting the environment - these bags more than justify the extra expense, because within 12 months, the bag will hopefully be nutrients back in the ground.

It's difficult to say much about bags other than they do the job you want them to do. That is that they are strong enough to not fall to bits when you take them out. They are large enough for the bin size they state and they have good eco credentials too. As others have mentioned, better on a roll I think but at the end of the day they get popped under the kitchen sink so not really a star knocked off as no issue - just a preference. Good price point too.

I do go out of the way to get a biodegradable bags for my dogs and household but you need to compromise quite heavily on the price then. These will be at least 3 times more expensive than regular plastic bags but if you can afford it - you should always chose a sustainable option.I like that these have handles so not only you can use them for food waste or any other rubbish but you can easily use them to carry your farm market produce, take-away or pretty much anything that is under 10 liters.

These bags are great for carrying everyday items and light shopping. The handles are quite durable and comfortable to hold.I like to use them until they get scruffy or have a tear, then I patch them up with a bit of paper tape and use them as bin bags.They come loose in a bag rather than on a roll.The only issue is the price. On Amazon, for about £10 you can get 120 bags that are basically the same (10l, biodegradable, tie handles).So these bags are quite bag value compared to the other options out there. Still, they are very good bags.

These are nice multi-purpose compostable bags. They are a good size to fit into a food waste caddy, but can also be used as small lightweight carrier bags. I use them to carry my packed lunch, then I can compost the whole thing afterwards, including the fruit cores, peelings etc. They aren't very strong, so I wouldn't recommend putting in too many drinks cans or other heave stuff, but they're ideal for lighter things. As the product page seems to imply that you can use them for heavier items, I have deducted one point.The 50 bags come folded in half, then packed into an outer bag that is also compostable, so eco-points for that. They only last for about a year, so you need to make sure you use them within that time, otherwise they start to disinegrate. However, I think they're so handy, that won't be an issue.

These are perfect for my food caddy bin. Strong and leak proof with tie handles, these are a great addition for my own uses. The fact these are plastic free makes them really eco friendly too therefore recycling food with these compostable bags means you are doing your own small part of being environmentally aware.They may seem expensive for what you get but having the above qualities means they are good value therefore I recommend them.

These bags are the size of a small carrier bag. They are a soft-toucher (nicer than plastic, I think) and strong - they hold more than you'd think. They are ideal for carrying small amounts of shopping or groceries, a day's snacks, lining a compost caddy to prevent it becoming dirty, or a small waste bin rather than using plastic. They'd be ideal for a small business. A new one could be used when giving gifts to a friend, as it can be re-used again for other purposes, rather than a throw-away gift bag. Practical, versatile and literally green - I'd certainly recommend these compostable carrier bags.
