Nice and strong 100% compostable waste bags
I received this item for free as part of the Amazon Vine programme, in return for a frank and honest review of the product. My review will be based on my personal experience of this product.TL/DR - 100% compostable, Feels just like plastic, Nice and strong, Has a gusset to enlarge bagThis is a review of 'YouKind 20 Liters (50 Counts) Compostable and Biodegradable Food Waste Bags With Tie Handle for Compostable Caddy Liners and Shopping T-Shirt Type Carrier Bags Eco-friendly Kitchen Take-away Bags' and the comments only apply to this item.Item colour: GreenGarment/Item composition: Corn starchCare instructions: Keep dry until used, Ensure you use within one yearItem Size: Length = 60cm x Width = 30cmQuantity received: 50 per packDoes the product work/perform as advertised: YesIs the product value for money: YesWould I recommend this product: YesI am quite a fan of waste bags made from corn starch. The material feels just like plastic and is as strong as plastic, yet unlike plastic it will break down and degrade within a year. These bags are perfect for me to use in my office at home as I have small waste bins that take this size bag that can be used for bagging up rubbish straight from the bin. Some may think that these bags are a little on the expensive side, but when you consider that a proper plastic carrier bag will still be around 40-50 years from now, polluting the environment - these bags more than justify the extra expense, because within 12 months, the bag will hopefully be nutrients back in the ground.

Strong, eco-friendly bags. Fit my bin perfectly
I was surprised how strong these bags were, other makes I've tried have not been as good. They are also eco-friendly (as they are biodegradable) . The bag they are packaged in is also biodegradable. They do not come on a roll, as they have full size handles, they come similar to what you used to get in supermarkets, where you rip one off a stack. They tear easily, however they are slightly harder to store seeing as they are not in a roll. They are thick, I've not even come close to tearing one yet, even putting sharper and heavier objects in the bin. They also fit my kitchen bin perfectly, and because of the handles are easy to tie.Definitely recommended!----------------------------This review is for an item I received free as part of the Amazon Vine program. I always review objectively, and only award 5 stars if I feel a product is worth it and is something that I would be happy to buy.

Good size and very useful, but would like storage info.
This pack of 50 compostable and biodegradable bags arrive folded in a sealed black bag (they do not come on a roll). The bags are attached together at the top. They measure 60 cms tall (including the handles), and 30 cms wide. The capacity is 20 litres.🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹These bags have a feel very similar to the food waste bags used in your kitchen caddy. They feel like a very thin silicone, and are soft with a slight stretchiness. They are a very generous size, with handy handles, but their main selling point is that they are made from cornstarch making them fully biodegradable. Due to this they need to be used with 12 months, and there is a warning printed on the bag to tell you this. Whether this depends on how they are stored I am not sure. It would be good know if this can be extended if they are kept in the original black bag, or whether they are affected by light/air etc, as when buying them, you do not know how long they have been stored. Also, I have done a little research, and from what I gather, cornstarch cannot be composted at home as it needs special requirements and high temperatures to fully decompose. Despite that, it is still a step in the right direction and a huge improvement on plastic waste bags.I get through quite a lot of waste bags at home, so I ordered these 20 litre bags, and a pack of the 10 litre bags (available separately). I have added a photo of the two packs side by side, just to give you a better idea if you are unsure which size best meets your needs. In conclusion, I am very happy with these bags, and value wise they work out at 19 pence per bag, which I am happy to pay. To ensure they are used within the 12 months, you would be looking at using roughly one per week, which seems reasonable, but I am sure they would be used well before that. I would, however, have liked some further information regarding storage of these bags in respect of their longevity.

Excellent food waste bags
I got these food waste bags for my compost caddy. They fit perfectly and now mean I can simply remove the bag once full and put in my home compost, as the bag is full compostable, and not need to clean the caddy every time which can be rather a disgusting job.Highly recommended.

Brilliant bags!
I can’t believe how brilliant these bags are. In our home they are used for everything from incontinence pads to nappies and everything in between, including compost bins. These bags are incredibly versatile. They are 100% biodegradable, meeting all environmental regulations. They are also surprisingly robust and reliable. I have the larger bags which work out to around 19p each, which is great value for money. It’s very hard to find bags that deliver on the scale that these do, for this kind of money. Very happy customer.

Biodegradable shopping carrier bags/ bin bags
I miss plastic carrier bags from the supermarket. If like me you miss them these are great. Use a couple of time to do your shopping then line your bins with them. These 20 litres bags are big, they have big capacity but not ideal for heavier shopping, the cornstarch material has a tendency to stretch. Better for bulky light weight shopping. Are fully biodegradable so can be composted or even if it goes to landfill no need to worry it will just breakdown naturally there too. We are advised to ensure that we use within a year as after that they will start to naturally breakdown.
