Works. Pain relieved and protective film lasts all day and longer. Might sting for a second but worth it.

When used correctly, it numbs the wound for a bit and creates a strong film cover to protect your mouth or gum sores for hours. I could talk, eat, and drink without any pain! The coverage also helps block out the irritants (pieces of food, acidic drinks, lips/tongue/teeth) from rubbing up against your sores and making things worse or slowing down the healing process.BUT if you don't let the product dry fully, it will mingle with your saliva, numb your tongue, and leave a rather bitter taste in your mouth. I learned that the hard way from my first application... So I definitely recommend letting the solution dry for 1 minute.It does sting a bit when you apply it, like a small alcohol sting on a wound or cut, but it didn't really hurt and it only lasted a second or two.I wore this for about 8-9 hours before the solution started to peel off on its own. DO NOT try to peel it off before it comes off on its own as it is a strong adhesive and will make your wound bleed.All in all, this stuff really helps and I definitely recommend anyone with mouth sores to try this out!

This stuff is awesome for sores in your mouth. It sticks to the sore like a bandaid and numbs it. Stays on really good and allows sore to heal without feeling pain. I usually put it on at night while I sleep. Be sure to dry the place in your mouth that you're putting it on. It sticks better. The taste is rough but to me worth it for a sore place/ ulcer in the mouth til it heals.

Works really well. I had a canker sore on the roof of my mouth. It was so painful to eat. I purchased this based off of the good reviews. It worked as expected. I got instant relief and was healed within 48 hours. The only downside is that it burns for a few seconds on application which is to be expected for exposed tissue. It also leaves the coating of the product in your mouth once it detaches. It doesn’t dissolve.

This is the best stuff! It doesn't taste good, and it burns after application, but you get about 3 hours of relief. You can eat and drink.

I had accidentally bitten my lip and boy, did it hurt. Because the area was swollen, I then continued to keep biting it and making it so much worse. I was desperate for some relief. Zilactin-b did that! It didn’t taste bad like some oral medications and really gave me some relief. What great stuff! It’s not magic, but close enough to make me tell everyone I know that it is! It’s forever in my medicine cabinet now— just in case….

I used this stuff when I was a kid. It’s so good it’s still on the market. Numbs the crap out of canker sores and puts a protective layer over it that last for hours. Burns like crazy, makes you drool, but it’s so worth it!

I found that mouthwash — specifically the kind that contains alcohol — helps me deal with canker sores when I use it in the morning and evening. I tried this product because my sores can be quite painful depending on where they are. I was hoping it would at least numb the sore for a while. Unfortunately, it did not work at all. The product does not only fail to numb the area, it also seems to delay the healing process. One positive is that it does turn the canker sore white when you apply it, but it takes about a minute to dry. Also, this product has a bitter, nickel-like taste that does wear off along with the ointment. This product is a waste of money for me, so I’m going back to the mouthwash method.
