Apple Lightning to USB-C Cable (1 m)

I bought this cord even tho I still rock an iPhone 6s Plus. It works just fine and chargers my phone just a little faster. I mainly got it because more and more USB-C charging ports are becoming more common and even replacing standard USB charging ports in cars and power block and portable blocks. I’ve charged my phone and AirPods with zero issue.The cord is very Stiff out of the box and does tend to keep its “shape memory” but after about a week of use. It has started to relax some. Holding the cord from one end a running the cord between your fingers slightly offset against the bends from time to time does help speed up the relaxing process.All and all it’s an excellent and durable. Apple stuff may be overpriced but it’s excellent quality so I’m. It complaining.

We bought this to have an extra charging cable at work. It is a fine cable and so far is working well, as we expected.

The cable is certainly genuine. The first and most obvious is the presence of the Serial Code and Apple Logo , printed 7 inches from the USB Side. It's very hard to spot but this cable in fact had it.My iPhone X doesn't double ding, but i do know that it's fast charging. How? i've hooked up a power meter and saw the wattage draw at 18W which is the MAX an iPhone X or 8 will charge. Keep in mind this is NOT much faster if you are already using a 12W charger, there's really not much of a speed benefit here in that case.Where this USB-C cable really shines is with the IPAD Pro. You get the full 30 watts of charging vs 12 on the standard charger it comes with. There's also no double ding. But looking at the power draw, it's close to 30Watts, which is the Maximum 28 rated the Ipad will charge. Definitely fast charing hereAnother thing to note is that the phone will not always fast charge depending on a few factors, phone temp and the current battery percentage. i've noticed as the battery gets closer to full, it slows down, as observed on the Power meter.So, in short, this cable is not worth it to charge an iphone X as the max charge rate for an Iphone with USB-C is 18watts or 33% faster than a 12W charger, but totally worth it for the IPAD..

As an Apple user across the board we have in our household MacBook Pro x2, iPad Pro+pencil x2, iPhone x2. One frustrating thing we frequently ran into was plugging our phones or iPads into our MacBook pros to charge or sync, thanks to Apple switching every port to USB C we had to connect to a dongle to do pretty much anything with any device. Obviously that’s annoying for many, many reasons one of which is that the charging speed decreases when doing that method. USB C is fantastic for data and power throughput but it gets cut in half when doing the dongle method.I often will connect my iPad Pro and use it as a second screen (Luna display is amazing for that), the issue there was the charge would steadily decrease over time (plus it looked janky AF) when connected to a dongle. I bought this a few months ago and wish I would have had it since I bought my MacBook Pro. Anyone with a MacBook Pro and an iPad, iPad Pro, or iPhone should just buy one of these as soon as they get their computer and save themselves that headache. Totally worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. There are few reviews stating that this is “knockoff” version. I was hesitant to get it but this item is ship and sold by Amazon. Being a prime member for over 15 years, I decided to put my trust into the “brand”. It arrived the same day since I need it quickly. The package itself look exactly like the ones you would get at the Apple store, I have no doubt that this is the “Authentic” Apple branded cable. I tested with the power bank I had, which supports “fast” charge mode for iPhone X models and above, the output is 9v 2a, vs the 5v 2a that’s commonly supported by the regular usb lightening cable. After 5 seconds plugging in, my power bank changed its charging status from 5v2a to “fast” charging as you can see on the video. This is the real Apple branded cable and only the Apple branded cable will support the “fast” charge mode, all the 3rd party oem seller on the market claiming that their usb c to lightening cable supports “fast” charge are all false advertising. Apple isn’t giving out oem maker it’s fast charging license til June of 2019. Save yourself time and stop looking for the cheaper oem alternative if you want the real 9v2a fast charge output and get the Apple branded one. After all, you are getting from amazon the same price as if you would get from the Apple store and you don’t even have to drive to the store to get it.
