Keeps the odor out of the shoes

I got this set of six deoderising or freshening balls to put in my sock and underwear drawers to fragrance the contents and they seem to work for this purpose. I've traditionally put in wooden balls (with essential oil) and/or sachets of dried lavender but these plastic balls are an acceptable alternative although perhaps not as eco-friendly as the other options. They are however quite attractive and easy to use. My one bugbear is that two of the six balls do not fully open (and I did not want to exert too much pressure and potentially break them). The scents are nice, not too strong but not too subtle either, They are lavender, linen and cotton. Priced £7.99 at the time of this Amazon Vine review, this makes each ball about £1.33. They are not exactly pricey and they are well presented in a nice decorated box and plastic sleeve and shrink wrap, but I think in future I will opt for a more eco-friendly alternative. However, there is nothing much wrong with them and so I award 4/5 stars.

They were okay but didnt last as long as expected

These Deodorizer Balls are so pretty they could almost be gifted. But they’re staying right here because the lavender ones (my favourite scent) smell divine and have now been tucked away in my knicker drawer (just remember to twist open to release the fragrance). The others, though are destined for my husband’s trainers when he comes in from gardening, because they smell so disgusting they stink out the whole porch. I’ve already tried them in his football boots and was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t just perfume the shoes, but they seemed to neutralise the smell too. So it’s five fragrant stars from me, if only for sparing my sense of smell.

Did not scent the articles the balls were meant to scent. Home made lavender bags are more effective
