Thank you CRKT !! Perfect handle the first time . I had also ordered 2 Cold Steel handles that I intend now to use for knife handle wood as they would break under any harsh condition with the grain running all over as it does .The CRKT handle is mounted on a hand axe and is holding up to throwing / chopping and worse .Great handle Columbia River Knife and Tool !

Surprised
I recently purchased a Cold Steel Hawk due to it's relatively low cost, but I though I would purchase a CRKT spare handle in case I wanted to customize it. I just assumed that the CRKT handle would be superior to the one that came with the Cold Steel Hawk. I haven't throw this or used it for hard outdoor work, so I am only critiquing the two handles based on what I see and feel. The Cold Steel handle is both longer and smoother and, at least to me, has a nicer finish. The CRKT handle is very shiny, and has some sort of gloss varnish on it. Also, the CRKT handle is rough feeling, not smooth, almost like it was never properly sanded, but that could be from the varnish. All that being said, for ten bucks, I can't complain. It has a nice weight to it, and I believe that if I sand and stain it, I will have a nice handle.

Perfect fit
This was a perfect fit for my hatchet Stormbreaker, Wood grain is cut perfectly and aligned so that it won’t break as easily as the first one I had with it. I always highly recommend to have at least one spare and this is well worth the money

Good craftsmanship
I purchased two of these and both of them are as well made as the one that came with my CRKT tomahawk. I wasn’t expecting the quality seeing I only paid a little over ten dollars apiece for them. Well done CRKT, well done......

bad grain
Got it on time and all but got a completely left to right grain handle, disappointed in that but.it works for now
