Don't Let the Name Fool You
Disappointing that it isn't really salmon at all. It's steelhead trout. The flavor is good but the eggs are tough. The price is too high for roe from an easy to catch fish that can be found in any lake.

It had a seal over the lid and arrived in a paper bubblewrap envelope, no ice or anything. I’m hardly discriminating when it comes to caviar; I’ve purchased caviar here on Amazon that I thought was pretty decent when others thought otherwise. Unfortunatly this ain’t real good. I’ve been slowly chewing on little bites for the last several hours and it somehow manages to be rather free of flavor, as well as smell. I can taste some requisite saltiness, and it tastes a little metallic. 😿Update: Cats didn’t like it either! Wrinkled noses and walked away. ➡️🗑 💸

Taste horrible and the texture is gross
The taste is like unlike anything I've ever tried. There is no way that this is salmon caviar.
