These are just what I needed for turning complex hollow form vases and bowls. Sometimes a standard one-sided caliber is impossible to remove without altering the measured thickness, making the measurement impossible. This two-sided setup is just the ticket, making those measurement easy, while the tool is still at the location being measured. It's plenty accurate for wood turning. I have it hanging by my lathe.

Very well made and easy to use.Operation is intuitive and what you see on the free end is what you got on the bowl end.

This type of caliper is used to measure the wall thickness of bowls and other woodturned items. They work as expected. The only problem was the rivet was too tight and calipers were difficult to operate. Applying some oil and working them back and forth numerous times loosened them up a little and made them easier to use.

Sure, its not a $90 Starrett caliper but it is better than expected and will do well.
