Trying once again to get Bermuda to grow in this no man’s land. Thought I’d try this mat. I seeded another part of the yard. I’ve watered all for 10 minutes twice a day. The seeded portion of the yard is just now sprouting. This mat has grass 3” tall after 4 weeks. I’m very impressed & intend to purchase the larger size. Hopefully, it continues to grow with watering thru the hell of our Texas summer.

Bought this hoping it would be a good grass idea. I raked up the ground and placed regular Bermuda seed down (Because I had low expectations for this). Placed this product over my newly seeded areas, then covered the paper with soil. Watered 3x a day. NOTHING, today I noticed Green bubbled paper protruding from the new soil. When I went and ripped them open, Hey Bermuda grass coming up underneath the paper...

Rolls out easy, but the amount of seeds in the mat is sparse. We shall see.Update: poor coverage, in my opinion. I used this along both sides of a walkway to keep the seed from drying. ( it's been a hot, dry summer) & watered 3x a day. The grass that came up is thin and patchy. The only positive thing I can say is the mat does retain the moisture, but it's too durable. I hope it breaks down before next spring.Ps. I scattered coated grass seed along the edges to fill in, and it grew and filled in better.

We spent several $$$’s buy pallets of grass year before last. Texas drought & big dogs ruined that in less than a year. Since then we’re trying less expensive options, plugs, seeds and this. We planted this early fall, still hot in Texas along with watering restrictions. Although many of our test areas are still dormant, this by far germinated the best, looks thick and beautiful. Was extremely easy to lay out. My only pearls of wisdom to add is make sure you check sq ft so you understand what your getting. In my minds eye, I thought this would cover more area, but that’s MY FAULT for glancing over those details. Getting more.

The grass grew quickly and covered the area well. You absolutely have to prep the area you’re laying this out on as it will not work well over existing grass as the seeds grow from the mat. Also I would recommend some sort of anchor or dirt over the top of the mat for this as any wind will move it easily. If you’re starting from dirt this will work great. Established lawns will want to look towards alternatives

Following instructions works great. Wait for results. No great in havy traffic muddy areas. Cover if dogs are in the same areas. Wonderful price.

I’d remove the last star if I could, horrible product, it’s a pain to lay down, it does not stay down, have to put a thousand stakes to hold it down, just buy seeds it’s a lot better.

So I placed this on a blank spot from a temporary fence I had from growing grass. Well it worked at first, grass was growing but the sheet wasn’t denigrating enough. So because of that, my young dog decided it was more fun to rip it to pieces when she was bored of her outdoor toys. If you have a dog, block off the places or let it rip. If you have no animals, well it might work for you!
