Freeze the Future
I’ve written several very positive reviews the last couple of days and I don’t think this product (also ordered the 32 ounce) will be any different. The containers feel like a quality product. If you notice in my reviews, I mention weight more than once. To me a quality product for cooking or prepping, will have weight and substance. As I only received this order yesterday, I can’t review their performance, but feel very positive that they will freeze and preserve items well.I believe you’ll be satisfied with this purchase.

i use these everyday!
the main reason, i use these is for freezing. I am big on freezing things to have on hand. i make rice for example in large batch and then freeze to have on hand. i use the larger sizes for soup, chili, etc. have had these for years and they hold up. had to order more! they also are great for leftovers

The Best Cartons - I'm never going back to other brands!
I love these cartons! They are exactly what I was looking for and a great price. They are now my go-to cartons for everything food-related, and I'll definitely be purchasing more over the years. We have these cartons in 8 oz, 16-oz, and 32-oz. We use the 16-oz most often, but the 8-oz is perfectly sized for meal portions for me, and prepped meal stock (like homemade Cream of Chicken I store in the freezer).I started buying these cartons about over a year ago. My husband and I cook a lot, everything from scratch. We have a deep freezer, and these cartons have held up better than the any other brands we've used over the years--and trust me, we've used all the name brands over the years. We use these containers for everything from salsa to squash to storing leftovers.THE LIDS: Sometimes the lids are harder to get off, but once you get the hang of it, it's no problem. It never annoyed me, but slightly annoyed my husband to the point he broke a lid once trying to get it off. You also just have to double-check it to make sure it's shut all the way. I don't even think about it any more; it's just habit (and honestly, that's almost any carton out there). I honestly like that it takes a little more effort than the other kinds of cartons because I know the seal is solid and not going to pop off in my freezer, no matter what we stack on it.I do wish the cartons were square for better space, but everything else outweighs that. The only staining I've noticed is when I've stored tomatoes or Tikka Masala in the cartons, and honestly, I couldn't care less. The staining doesn't bother me.In response to other reviewers:- we've never had these cartons break in the freezer (though we have had all the other brands break... and then had to clean up the pieces)- the ratio of broken lids / containers (just from regular use) has gone down to 1/4 of what it used to be with other brands- dollar store quality: I would definitely disagree. I've bought a few cartons at the dollar store (hated them) when I was first married and will never go back. These cartons have been nothing like those. They actually might compare more to what they might give you if you go to the grocery deli and get a pasta salad (I'm pretty sure they use the same type of cartons). So if you like what you see there, you get the idea of what this is.Pros- solid, quality containers- plastic that is considered the "safer" kind- BPA-free- Durable, even when used consistently in both freezer and microwave- they stack so well, and go really high-interchangeable lids (yes! you don't have to store all the lids separately)- hard to stain from food- great sealCons- they are circular and not as space-efficient- sometimes lids can be harder to get off

I adore these containers for many reasons!
I bought these originally to help with portion control, and to give me a small sealable container for food for my upstairs fridge.I can't get to the downstairs kitchen often, and need to have lunch items upstairs where I spend most of my time. These are small, stack VERY easily, and keep food fresh. Perfect for the small fridge! However, we've found so many uses for these that we have ordered the other sizes too. The lids are interchangeable on the 8 oz, 12 oz and 16 oz (I don't have the 32oz, so not sure about those). My husband loves to cook, but like most people, doesn't like spending lots of time in the kitchen on week day evenings. What we do is buy larger quantities of food, and I make a trip downstairs (partially disabled, so stairs are my enemy!), and I play sous chef for him. I wash and chop up veggies and such, he cooks them up, and I put them in the containers and label them. Pop them in the freezer and they are ready to roll for quick meals. We've found the 8 oz to be perfect for a portion of cooked mushrooms that are just right for our family meals. He either takes them out of the freezer the day before, or gives them a quick thaw in hot water in the sink. The amount of cooked mushrooms is perfect for gravies or stir fries.I use them for my own portion control for lunches. I am also a recent convert to steel cut oats. I make a batch in the crock pot, and divvy it up into these containers for an easy and tasty breakfast. These also are great for tossing dry snacks into backpacks - the lids do not easily pop off, making them perfect for students.I also took a couple, and have safety pins in one, and push pins in another! I could see several craft uses with these, and the stacking ability helps save footprint space.I am VERY pleased with these containers! We've had some of them as long as a year, and a little staining from tomato-based products is the worst thing we've dealt with on them. We don't have a dishwasher, so they are all washed by hand, which might stretch their use life.We store them in a box in the cupboard so we don't have to stop and stack every little container and lid - wash, dry and toss into the box.Very well made, and good for all kinds of uses.

Survived the freezer and dishwasher!
I got these for home-made cat food. They have been frozen, thawed, and run through the dishwasher several times and are holding up very well. Lids still fit perfectly and surprisingly there is no staining! It will be a very long time before I need to replace these.

Great!!
I do love these. They work great. They will crack if you drop them from the top of your freezer though! Perfect for freezing smaller things (I make a huge batch of refried beans).

Good product. Use them for pre-portioning and freezing meals. Works great for storing various items in fridge as well as they stack nicely. Durable quality for washing and reusing. Will definitely buy again.

Awesome
This is the second purchase for Reditainers in three days! The first containers (we got the large ones, 32 oz) arrived so fast and they were so great that we ordered all the other sizes too. Now we have only Reditainers for all leftovers and freezer items. It fits great too, the fridge and freezer look so totally organized. We bought some freezer tape and everything is labeled with kind and date of making. God, I feel like Martha Stewart!! LOL.
