Took 24 hours to fully open up. Also put in the dryer for 20 minutes. Its pretty firm too.

This back pillow is pretty firm I would say. It offers some good support, and it has pockets on each side which is kind of nice. It is firmer than a lot of reading pillows that you can order and that I have had in the past. However, it's still lacks in some support. I think I'm a little biased since I have arthritis. It's moderately price as well.

Like other reviews have said, it takes up to 24 hours for it to fully gain its shape. You can speed this process along by giving it a short tumble in the dryer if you'd like. Once it's fully formed, it's soft and sturdy. It has a lot of stuffing that makes it so you don't sink into it, but rather stay quite upright, which is great for adults with aching backs. The pockets are also great for storing items. Small, compressed package. But it had expanded to 90 or 95% all by itself an hour after unboxing and unwrapping. I used it same day, and it was fine. Smooth, soft fabric. Weighs around 4 lbs. Tall and wide enough to support an average adult's shoulders.There's more than enough foam inside to make it real firm. I think it's purposely over-stuffed. So, I may end up removing a little from the back, to make it softer. They say firmness changes with seasonal temperature...Watching TV, reading, breakfast in bed, I honestly forget it's there. Fits like a glove. Nice thing is it stays where you put it, against the headboard. Doesn't slip and slide in constant need of adjustment like pillows did.

This pillow is great, super comfy to use on the couch or in bed. The standard 20 in size is big enough for an adult, I am 5'5" and 160 lbs. I lucked out because the Light Grey color matches my couch cover fabric exactly! It arrives vacuum sealed and I could not believe how big it grew after I took it out of the sealed wrap. You do need to give it at least 24 hours for the memory foam to fluff up completely, it also helps if you punch and knead it a few times. I'm happy to report that the memory foam in this pillow is fluffy and supportive. After using it for a while it does flatten a bit, then you just fluff it up again.

If you're looking for a reading pillow with a ton of support, this is the pillow for you. The filling is quite stiff and the arms are longer than average, so if your posture is something that's a priority of yours, this reading pillow is perfect for that. The cover is very soft and it has an elastic pocket on both sides that can hold a remote, phone, etc. It has a handle on the top, making it easy to pick up/carry around if needed. The reading pillow arrived vacuum sealed but fully assembled. The instructions suggested putting it in the dryer on low, so I put it in on very low and it quickly regained its shape. Overall, this is a great reading pillow for those needing extra support.
