Temp seems fairly accurate.
As a little test I put some water in the bottom of the wax container and set the temp to 100c. After a few minutes I could see that the water was starting to boil. It didn't start until the temp gauge read 100. I bought this for waxing cycle chains and although it's doable in reality it's just a little too small. A 1tr pot would be so much easier. However it works as intended and seems accurate and well made.

Great - melts wax
Actually excellent, using it for waxing bike chain - works perfectly.

Disappointing
Used once and now it won't work. There is no where I can click 'contact seller' and the refund window is 1 month so £30 wasted!

Needed more info
I'm new to waxing and waxing pots etc. I wasn't sure how this would work as the instructions were not as clear to me as I thought I should be. First off, when you turn it on, you don't need to turn it to max high temperatures to get started. All you have to do is turn it on and change to desired temp. The pot will automatically heat to max temperature, then it will lower itself down to the desired temperature you have chosen. I took me a while to figure that out as the instructions does not mention this. Once it's gone to max temp, then lowers to the chosen temperature, the light will go from red to green. The green light indicates it at the right temperature and it won't go any higher. I would say temps between 50-55 would be the right heat for the wax melts to be melted but not too hot to the skin. This pot doesn't come with any waxing spatulas so my first time using this was very messy. Once you.know how thos works, this waxing pot is very easy to use. As there is hardened wax on the removable pot, you wouldn't need to remove and clean it out for your next wax, just melt it down and add more wax beads to desired amount and it's good to go. As I hate tweezing my eyebrows, waxing them has made my life so much easier and a lot faster at taking my brows. And for £21.99, this is a reasonable price for a reliable item

Perfect for Chain waxing
No idea if this is any good for it's intended use but it's perfect as a lower cost alternative to the silca wax system, I've waxed several chains in it and the results are great each time. Great product and temperature adjustment is easy and accurate.

I got this for my Mountain Bike chain.
I got a packet of bike chain + PTFE wax and added some PTFE spray to it as well. Melted it down within 2 mins, stayed at a level temp and the inner metal pot is perfect for a MTB chain. I cleaned the chain first in a sonic cleaner then dried it with a paper towel. "Cooked it" in the hot wax for 5 mins then turned it off and hung the chain from a knife held in the closed door of a kitchen wall cupboard directly above to wax pot on the kitchen worktop below. Just put the blade of the knife on top of the base shelf and closed the door on it. Worked a dream. The wax remained fluid long enough so all the excess drained back into the pot before it solidified. I thought it would make a huge mess but there was none. Put the chain in a zip lock plastic bag as it hung up. I made a S shape from a bit of coat hanger wire, one end through the end of the chain and the other hung over the protruding end of the knife handle. I got the wax warmer just for the chain so left the wax in the pot to cool and solidify, then back in the box. Simple, quick. Note the pre used chain was cleaned and died out first. I'll report back after the first ride out..

Works well but…
The plastic lip of the pot broke immediately which is super annoying as glueing it back doesn’t work because of the heat. Other than that it does the job

Really like it!
Love this pot - keeps most of the mess I make with soft wax inside of the removable pot, and if not, then I don't have to worry about ruining the electrical components like my last heater. Heats up super quick, and does the job well. Would recommend.
