They can measure the outside of solid things, the inside of hollow things & they have a hole depth prong on the end.They don't come with any instructions but they work the same way as other digital vernier callipers and there are umpteen guides online.In some ways, they are better than my more expensive ones; they come in a protective case & they not only come with a battery but with a spare battery too.- They use LR44 batteries [those little coin-cell things].It's become an ever-increasing strain for me to to focus on the vernier scale when using my traditional mechanical vernier callipers.These solve my problem - a big, clear, instant digital readout.I think they are robust enough to last a long time.
