Pushes all the right buttons
I bought one of the newest Amazon made remotes for my Fire Cube and wanted a couple extras. At close to $30 a pop, it is hard to justify getting a bunch of these. I saw these and figured I'd give them a try. They have all the same functionality as the Amazon made remotes. The build quality isn't as good as they don't have the same heft and quality feel, but they work just fine. The thing I like about these is the extra buttons for settings, Amazon live TV guide, channel up/down, and the two programmable buttons. With some Apps the channel up/down buttons function as page up/down for the channel guides (Amazon live TV guide, Channels DVR, TiVi Mate, etc.). Just wish You Tube TV would get with the program and update their interface. So, for the main remote I prefer the original Amazon, but it is nice to have a couple extra on hand with all the same buttons.

Did something different than instructions and it works now
I have a fire stick connected to a Sceptre smart TV. Instructions say to press the left directional, back button and button with the 3 lines simultaneously to pair. It wasn’t working even after unplugging the fire stick 3 times. After a quick google search I came across advice to use left directional, back button and home button instead. It worked within seconds.

Took a few tries, but works
Took a few tries and had intended to return, but seems to work well. It wanted me to pair using the Amazon fire tv app, which didn’t work. So I tried Amazon, which opened the fire tv app, which I had. I deleted it and picked Amazon and it took me to the App Store to download the Amazon fire tv app. That is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because I had to use the remote to set it up. The app wasn’t any help.It seems sturdy, but will see how well it works. If I have any problems. I will update this review.

Great 3rd party remote not from Amazon directly
Great remote, one of the better third party remotes purchased. My dog eats them frequently and i've been happy with this one!

Didn't realize it is aftermarket; feels cheap but works well
I attempted to use an old Fire TV Stick remote as a second remote on my 4K Max, but it only worked partially, so I bought this one. I didn’t realize the new one wasn’t an OEM product until I received it, but I could tell the second I picked it up. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked with my Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Samsung Smart TV with no programming required. Some reviews mention the battery door breaking on the first use, but fortunately, that didn’t happen to me. Overall, even though the remote felt a bit flimsy, it performed much better than expected. It was easy to set up, and I appreciated how quickly it connected to my devices. While I still have some concerns about its durability in the long run, so far, I’m happy with how well it’s working. I’ll wait and see how it holds up over time, but for now, it’s exceeding my initial expectations.
