Unthought out.
I don't get the sense that this is really written with care and proper thought for how children learn. It's rote learning with no real reference to listening, no aural awareness. There are one or two fun things to do and there is a lot of reiteration, but its very dry and for me seems to have been written by someone without much hands on teaching of small children.Having said that, I think that children would enjoy writing the notes and treble clefs etc just for the joy of writing them, but, as a teacher, you would have to supplement it with lots of lively explanation and yur own fun ways of experiencing theory rather than just writing it.I will be sending mine back - I hate it!!

Thumbs up from 8 year old👍🏻
My Daughter is currently learning to play violin (1year) and has joined a music centre, where she will also do theory. It was recommended by them that we buy this book. So far, my Daughter is enjoying working through the book and says that is is fun!

So easy for little children, brilliant!
My 5-yr-old daughter loves this! She's gone theory-mad since starting these books, the author makes it so simple. I wish there were books just like this when I was younger, then I may have not given up certain instruments.

My brain shuts off when it comes to theory but these are fun and enjoyable to
I am 48 and say to other adults who cannot fathom music theory to buy these. My brain shuts off when it comes to theory but these are fun and enjoyable to learn

A good start to learning theory!
This is a good introduction to theory though it does rely on piano keys somewhat. My son plays violin & although piano is good to know it was a little confusing.
