Was great out of the box loved the color and style. But then down hill from there the bottom started to wear after the first use. Then the black started coming off the side after second use and I only washed by hand did not put in dishwasher as per instructions.

These mugs looked great online but in person is another story. The black matte finish really gives them a unique appearance in the over saturated moscow mule cup world. They also have a nice weight compared to the usual light weight copper mugs you normally run across. Packaging was great and a nice product description, history, and care sheet was included. I would most definitely recommend these to any moscow mule lovers out there.

The “black” finish isn’t actually black. It’s more of a maroon color. The finish has already started coming off after one use even though I followed the care instructions that were included with the mugs. Very disappointed with the quality.

First of all, these are great looking cups. They fit nice in my hand, and they seem pretty durable. They've gotta stay dry or the copper will oxidize - turn green, or you'll get dark spots on the beautiful patina. I don't use them for liquor, I drink water from them because I like the way they look, and because copper is a natural anti microbial disinfectant. I feel like as long as I take good care of them, they'll last a good, long while.

I got these because they look unique, and are a good alternative to the standard copper-looking copper mugs. I read reviews and was aware that there were some complaints about the finish. After receiving them, and using them a few times, I can concur. The finish is matte, and while it goes without saying, definitely not made for the dishwasher. I have taken care in being gentle when washing these, yet one of them has a small chip to the finish already (I got these a little over 30 days ago). It's not such a big chip that it is bothersome, but I foresee more finish peeling/chipping in the future. These also "sweat" a ton, as in there is a large amount of condensation build when these are used with ice - which I am not a huge fan of. I plan to use these until they become an eye-sore, but wouldn't repurchase.

The contrast between the black exterior coating and the bare copper interior is striking and makes these cups really stand out.The handle is firmly attached - other copper mugs I've owned of similar design have all suffered from a loose handle that eventually fails, but I am confident that will not be the case with these mugs.The mug walls are thick enough to resist dents and distortions and the outer coating has thus far resisted any scratches from handling and use. While I typically hand wash these types of mugs, some friends loaded them into my dishwasher while my attention was elsewhere - I was pleased to see that the outer finish survived the wash cycle completely intact.5 stars - I will be buying more of these mugs to fully equip my home bar. Highly recommended.

Fantastic mugs! Quality items made with sturdy drinking in mind. Big fan of the darkened finish. Everyone who saw my mugs complimented the darkened finish and inquired as to where I purchased them. Amazon prime I exclaimed! Will be purchasing more to match!

I bought these as a gift for my husband and he’s very pleased with them. The black on cooper is really stunning and he likes them even better than the traditional copper mule mugs. They’re very durable so far and keep beverages nice and cold.The only downside is you have to be gentle when washing then so they don’t get scratched. Not a huge deal for us and we will probably purchase another pair or two for when we have company.

I have had this cup for two days and only gently hand washed once. Both mugs are chipping on the exact same spot.Very poor quality

I love the way the mugs look. The rim around the mug is nice and smooth on your mouth. I wouldn't recommend using them for anything hot. The heat transfers to the handle very easy. My wife really likes them. They were a gift for her.
