This is such a cute activity gym but I personally feel it is best suited for younger babies maybe 6 months and under. I say this because the construction of the top part of this mat isn't the most sturdy, so the more capable a baby is of pulling on the toys, the more likely they are to break this gym. The top, dome-like pieces seem like thin pool noodles with a thin plastic pipe running through them for a little bit of structural integrity - you can see from my one picture how the structure deforms with just a little bit of pressure. They are easy to move and bend, and I have concerns that they would bend or break with an older baby. My son is 8 months and plays with his hanging toys like he is an olympic gymnast performing the rings exercise. He would absolutely crush the soft, dome-like structure holding these toys under his weight and strength.With that said, the variety of toys is great. There are 6 toys included: a book that has ocean animal names and numbers 1 through 6, a crab with a small mirror piece, a squeaky fish with a plastic teether, a plush whale, a seahorse with crinkly fins, and a star with a rattle in it. There are 10 loops on the top dome (5 on each pole) that can hang toys which is a little strange to me since there's only 6 toys, but I guess you can choose how to set it up. There is also a loop on the bottom mat which the box shows as being where the book toy would go. The shell mat is super plus and soft - really nice surface to lay on and very sizeable.This mat was very easy to set up. It is a cute toy, but for what it is, $48 at the time of this writing seems very expensive to me, especially if it could only be used for younger babies. I personally would expect this to be closer to $35 and definitely not over $40.

This baby play mat is greatly awesome! it is very ergonomically designed, so my baby feels so comfortable and it seems it helps my baby's brain development.

My baby was too big for this but I used this for my small daycare and it was very useful during tummy time. It seems to be good quality, the toys feel a little cheap. It keeps babies entertained

This play gym is amazing quality, especially for the reasonable price!! We have been so happy to have this in our house, it has been a favorite toy for our 7 month old for 2 months now.The mat is thick and durable, very padded, and it's the perfect size for tummy time and playing. The fabric is very soft and all of it (mat, overhead poles for the toys, and accessories) is SO well made!The overhead poles are very easy to put up and take down, and stay in place very well when up.The toys and book are truly so perfect and work wonderfully hanging from the overhead poles, as toys on the floor to sit and play with, or hanging from a swing or carseat too.
