Usage and Hacks
As a 77yo transtibial amputee for 8 years I am reliant on mobility devices for work and travel. I have used a folding scooter for about 40 airline trips in this period as well as work-I am thankful for this device but it has limitations-weight of 70 lbs and limited maneuverability (in tight spaces) and I have long thought a motorized walker would be useful: these have come on the market in the last year. I was gratified to find this walker which was shipped from China. It arrived on time and had only a minor issue during shipping (which could have been avoided by separately packing the battery or supporting the battery/controller bag more securely for shipping). I contacted the company through Amazon and they have been helpful in remedying the situation. I have used the chair on several occasions. It is well made and finished. Another reviewer complained about the footrests not moving. I found them difficult to move due to a spring clip with too much tension. I replaced these with 8mm Moxweyeni spring clips (much easier to dpress) through Amazon and this along with some light dressing of the holes with a file, resolved the problem. There is some flexing of the frame which is noticeable compared to a scooter but this is a feature of the design. You also need to be aware that you are leading with the footrests not a wheel, so be careful of dips in the sidwalks where the footrests bottom out. The motors are remarkably quiet which was nice in the museum, there is also no need for setting a manual clutch with a lever which is a feature of many electromagnetically braked motors. The joy stick takes some practice but allows zero turns, i.e. you can spin in place. The major feature of this design is that it quickly goes back and forth between a walker and a wheelchair. If you can walk to some extent it makes eg. getting on the subway or going into a restaurant much more manageable (by converting to a manual walker).Transportability is very important so I have included a picture of the chair behind the passenger seat of a Tesla Y. The chair is about 12 inches wide folded, 37.5 inches high and 27 inches long. I went with the carbon fiber version since the less weight the better although the all metal model is listed with a similar weight. The chair is easily lifted by someone of 165 lbs.The chair would be good for airline travel but would require some modification-I usually check at the gate and have occassionally had my scooter damaged in the hold or by carelessness on the part of the ground crew. The battery needs to be airline rated and easier to remove. if there was a single connector for all the inputs to the controller this would allow the bag to be removed and carried aboard. Alternately, the battery and controller could be attached directly to the frame which would allow easy removal of the battery. A full wheelchair bag for protection during airline transport would be best.I gave this product 5 stars for concept and design and generally very good execution, as well as responsiveness to queries. I would feel better if the company had more of a presence (can't find a website for the company but company reps are apparently available via amazon). There is a website (sinceborn.cn) which is still in development but if that gets finalized it will be reassuring to buyer outside China.9/1/24 updateI’ve used this to take several trips including on the DC metro and several buses. It is very manageable on both but a big help to getting it off and on buses is a strap I added to allow me to lift it with a single hand. The batteries have an unusual connector, a GX16-3P (ASIN-B087NFKJHH) so I fabricated connectors to allow charging off the device (also the use of other batteries if needed). I have also carried it in the rear seat of a 2003 Honda civic. A Dimpa Ikea bag also fits nicely.Caution is needed if accustomed to a scooter. Small obstructions (eg. 1 inch or less rise between pavers) can abruptly stop the wheelchair and risk tipping it over. This is a result of the necessary compromises with a short wheel base, high center of gravity, and rear driven wheels. It also does not do well on gravel paths such as on the National Mall, for much the same reasons. The motorized walker function is very helpful with braking going downhill and assist going up. I use as a wheelchair only if the ground is firm and even, otherwise use as a walker. It is a good option for using public transport or keeping in reserve in the car to allow sitting/assisted walking transport when appropriate and the compactness to enter public spaces without fuss.

Marvelous product
This is everything I've wanted in a rollator type device. It's weight is manageable for a friend & myself to lift into her vehicle. It was very easy to assemble. It's quite sturdy. It's easily maneuverable forward and reverse. The seat belt is important to me.The only difficulty I have is pressing the spring activated clips to release the legs from the side of the product. Several other purchasers mentioned this in their reviews, so I was aware that I might have difficulty too.A neighbor's son came over and easily pinched the spring clips and brought the legs forward.I have a disease that causes extreme muscle weakness so no wonder I can't release the legs in order for them to move to the front. One review had a solution to this problem. A friend is taking me and this product to a hardware store to purchase easier clips. Product's color is black. I feel very safe when I use this product.I push product (with power on) as far as my legs allow & ride home. 1500 steps a day is my daily goal. Without this marvelous product, I couldn't walk 50' much less around the block.AMAZON forwarded a message from the seller stating that seller is sending another battery to A's customers. That will be wonderful.I highly recommend this mobility aid.Even though I can't push clips to return legs to the sides of this product, it doesn't interfere with folding unit and lifting into a friend's car.

It was great except for the footrest which was not useable as it would not move into position. Hope I get some reponse as my husband certainly needs the footrest.

Walk with it. Sitting is last resort.
TL:DR: its a great walker not a great wheelchair.I have the walker assembled and charged. The likes:Anti fall. If the wheels get to going too fast, it forces the wheels to stop without needing to hit the manual break. This will save many of my falls.Modes where the walker goes at a pace and allows you to walk holding it but not needing to push. It's pushing itself.Other modes provide some resistance going down a ramp or incline. I'll use this one the most. Each mode has varying speeds, I use the slowest. LoLCon:This is kind of good but also funny. The kind of good is it's definitely a walker and not to be used a lot for a wheelchair. Wheelchair is really only good enough to last resort you to a location. It's a like as it forces me to walk and not take the easy route of sitting. It's great on carpet and wood flooring and parking lots. On tile, store concrete and laminate, it's like driving on black ice. You'll make it to your destination, but it's going to get there how it wants to. It requires a lot of manipulation of the steering stick! It's weight. It's 33 pounds. I'm putting a towel in my car to protect the car from dings. I live alone. If you don't have help or fairly good upper body strength, don't buy this.Only assembly required is to put on the steer stick and plug in the battery to the stick. Do not do this without looking at instructions. The 6 pins are fairly fragile and I think I gummed mine up. My child is a lifelong musician and a lot of the equipment has this exact plug. He had me fixed up in 5 minutes. The vendor: A+. I contacted for a refund before the item arrived. Thought the steering stick was in a locked position of out. I didn't want my foot space to be that large. They approved refund. I suggest they put a photo of someone walking with the steering stick lowered.I decided to ask about the steer stick and they confirmed it flips down while walking. I pulled the plug on purchasing and I'm glad I did. After a few days use, I to, as the other review have had leg of chair mode be challenging. The pins are indeed extremely difficult to press and release the legs. Still a 5 star review from me but something to think about.
