Replaced an older fan in one room that had a larger footprint than the new fan we bought so it left some broken edges of Sheetrock and looked bad. But this item worked great. I had to use longer screw to mount the hanger to the outlet box but that’s something I already had since I never throw extra screws away. Highly recommend!

Great way to hide a fan electrical box that the previous home owner installed and left 1/2 inch protruding below the drywall. It's a dense foam painted flat black. Easy to cut if a larger opening required. A few black drywall screws will allow easy future removal or it can be glued in place. No instructions included and you get two complete medallions not just two halves.

I got a deal on a ceiling light fixture but miscalculated on the size of the base - the hole from the old fixture was bigger than the base on the new one. This covered up my error and looks good. Since I have put it in my dining area, I used the second one on another fixture for continuity, even though I didn't "need" it. Made of very light foam, so it was easy to install as well as cut to make everything fit!

Too small

This product is as described. It works perfectly to cover the odd shaped cut out in my ceiling that the fixture didn't fully cover. I didn't even use adhesive, just lighted the fixture against the product to hold against the ceiling. The seams are not very noticeable. I kept it black, but I feel like it would be painted easily as well.

Product chips very easily

This is the perfect product if you want to add a medallion after the fixture is installed. Having been in the business for 45 years, I can tell you that it isn’t always a great option to remove fixtures to add one-piece medallions.
