The pipe comes with an amazing leather case, the dark wood is something you're not able to find very much. It's sort of rare. They give you all the tools necessary for your smoking pleasure.

Did not smoke good.

I got this Joyoldelf pipe for those times where I just want a taste and don't have time for a full pipe smoking session, and because I've purchased Joyoldelf pipes before and have never been disappointed. This is my first Joyoldelf disappointment. The pipe is just too small: too small of a bowl to make a difference when you want to taste tobacco, too small to provide a good draw, and too small to cool the pipe smoke as you draw. It was a good idea but the actual reality of a small pipe for getting a small taste of my favorite tobacco leaves a lot to be desired.

I immediately tried this pipe with one of my favorite tobacco blends, Two Friends Redwood. To begin with, the draw was not good with the metal filter, so I removed it. The filter unscrews from the bit. I usually twist the bit from my pipes, but as you can see this one has slots that align the bit so it's important to pull the bit straight out of the pipe. Fortunately, 6mm balsam wood filters fit perfectly and provide a much better draw. The inner bowl is made of anodized aluminum, and I'm undecided as to whether it's a good material for smoking.I like shortie pipes (often called "nose warmers") and have a few of them, but this is the shortest of the lot. It can be a little scary with a pipe flame so close to my mustache and nose. Nevertheless, the bowl is a good size for shorter sessions.The case is NOT leather, as stated here. Indeed, I think the cloth bag is more than sufficient for carrying this pipe in one's pocket or elsewhere. (I'll use the case for a pair of sunglasses.)I rate this as decent option for its intended purpose, especially at this price. But, for a short, cheap pipe, I'd rather smoke a corncob shortie, which costs about the same and is made from a more natural material.
