I am writing this immediately after going through the installation procedure. I am not a techy. I don't understand complicated electrotechy. This printer is amazing, straightforward, automatically doing complicated stuff ( print head alignment, scanning test print page,) I think I might be in love electronically speaking. Instructions very clear and simple and it's all singing and dancing in no time at all. And no wi fi needed!!It's so fabulous it might be able to work out my personality problems to three decimal places and for£33!!!!! That's astonishingIf it explodes tomorrow, or runs off with the paper boy, I might change this review, but I don't see that happening.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed to discover upon setting this printer up that it does not come with the connection cable needed to plug it into your computer! And as it does not support a wireless connection, it is absolutely USELESS until I can find and purchase the right cable needed to make it work.I am frankly astounded that a product can be sold without the VITAL part to make it actually function. I am actually in awe of this as I expected far more from a company like Canon. It is possible that it works just fine and is deserving of more stars, but as there is no way for it to function the way it was delivered to me this product deserves ZERO STARS in my opinion. Yet another disappointing Amazon purchase. I am just about done buying anything from here anymore as there is always something off!Irony is, I cant even return it without printing a label so still need to go buy a connection cable somewhere else if I even want to attempt returning it. HOW WAS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN?!(also, I never ever write amazon reviews, even when I don't like a product, so the fact that I felt the need to come and warn other future buyers is a strong statement coming from me.)NEW EDIT: Printer also does not support dual-sided printing (even though it says in the product info that it can) and I will not give me the option to choose black-and-white over color when printing a document with color photos.

Excellent value for money. I struggled along with an old printer as it used ink rather than cartridges but as I dont do much printing the quality deteriorated. As I only print a few sheets a week this is a great solution as cost per print is less relevant.I am happy with the quality and speed of printing and was easy to set up but read the instructions to get the sequence right!

I was warned before buying this printer that I would need a USB cable to connect the printer with my computer, and that I would need a disk drive for the drivers. No problem, I had those. Unfortunately, I could not install the drivers using the disk provided. For some reason, the process kept failing, telling me that the computer was not connected to the printer, even though it was, and there was nothing wrong with my USB cable (it worked just fine with the scanner I was replacing). I spent hours over it, in tears. I could not get the driver to install.Well, I tried again today. First, I uninstalled everything. Then I found the appropriate drivers online, downloaded them, and installed them. Everything worked perfectly this time, got it up and running. It's a nice little printer for the price. But if you buy, do yourself a favour and download the drivers, do not use the disk, I reckon there was something wrong with it.Edit: I’ve been using this for a few days, and I have to say, I am very glad I managed to install this printer as I am very happy with it. The quality of the scanning is way better than the scanner I was replacing. My old scanner couldn’t cope with scanning from a book, there’d be odd little shadows all over the scan. Even a book with spiral binding where the pages laid mostly flat on the scanning surface. The scans produced by this printer are beautifully clean in comparison. The printing is very nice too. Not as nice as a laser printer, but still very clean and clear.So I suppose I do recommend this product. But do not attempt to install the drivers using the disk provided. I can’t emphasise that enough.

Fantastic printer. Easy to set up. It clearly says there is no wifi or printer lead included. Its just a basic printer. It excels at that. I think the negative reviews are because some people find it hard to read or understand the specs. All-in-all - a good cheap printer. BONUS: It has full cartridges and not the starters.. Only dumb thing: it takes a good 10 minutes to unwrap it, take out all the reams of cardboard. After that, its a dream and so easy.

Seems a good quality printer for the price (although I have not yet looked into the price of ink replacement!) but, as mentioned by others, the printer is supplied WITHOUT a USB printer connection cable which makes it unusable unless you happen to have a spare. As cables are VERY cheap it is mystifying why there is not at least an option to buy one with the printer. Talk about spoiling the ship for a ha'pworth of tar!

No stars not an option, so have (reluctantly) given it one star. Bought February 2025, broke down May 2025. Sent back for repair. Have used it just twice and it's broken down again. There no longer seems to be an option in my orders to contact the seller to request a replacement. Very disappointed in this service.
