Hi-Fi in the palm of your hand.
Well, having read all of the glowing reviews here and on YouTube...and being a serial Bluetooth speaker purchaser (25 and counting) I had to have one. £100 is not cheap for something the size of a small baked bean tin that's for sure but let me tell you, it's worth every penny. The money I have wasted on speculative inexpensive Bluetooth speaker purchases that were sonic letdowns in the past makes this a positive bargain. It sounds incredible for it's size. Treble and midrange is crisp and clear but never coarse, even at full volume. It's surprisingly analytical which leads me to believe there's very little DSP at work, just a great amplifier and a superb driver. Bass is tight and goes deeper than you have any right to expect. It's better with sustained bass rather than beat driven bass but then that could be said of much bigger speakers too. There is a little DSP at work as the bass stays full as you reduce volume but that just leads to a pleasant listening experience even when family members tell you to turn it down. The App. allows for some nice remote tweeking of the sound and various other modes. Great battery life too with a helpful, colour changing LED letting you know the remaining charge. The only thing I would perhaps change is the charging connector for a more industry standard USB type. That way, you can still charge your speaker with your phone charger and not have to keep the proprietary lead supplied with you. Mind you, with up to 30 hours use per charge that's not really going to be a problem. That little thing aside, it's all about the incredible audio really. I fully intend to investigate the Minirig 2 setup with the subwoofer in the near future. Until then, I'll just enjoy this stunning piece of British audio engineering. Highly recommended.

Most amazing product I bought in recent years
I read some glowing reviews which made me convince to order one from UK and now that I have it it almost defies belief (and physics) what this speaker is capable of. A friend of mine visited me and together we tested it against several of our other speakers and couldn't believe our ears. Yes, bigger speakers like a JBL flip 4 or Bose Soundlink Revolve+ may get a tad louder but the soundstage the Minirig Mini produces is nothing short of amazing and deserves 10 stars. It's soo much ahead of the competition that it even makes the similarly sized Bose Soundlink micro sound like a toy (which is still the second best ultra portable speaker on the market though and has other advantages like fully water resistant and a handy mount strap).I use the Minirig Mini for listening to audio books and quiet piano music when going to bed and will sure take it on my next holiday since it's small but loud enough to fill an entire hotel room and should easily surpass any hotel TV in audio quality too (not sure if I should ever take it on the beach though since it's only splashproof)There's no IOS app released yet and the Android App has a few glitches (and still NO documentation available either, what does "EQ lock" do??) but in the few days since I got it a new version already fixed some bugs and I'm hopeful the company won't sleep on their laurels and continue to improve on an already incredible product in the foreseeable future. I wish there was an option to switch off the superfluous Led light althogether (I can check the battery level in the app anytime) because even when dimmed in the app settings it's still annoying in an otherwise dark room.

Great portable speaker. Durable and loud without compromising acceptable sound quality.
I ise this to listen to podcasts and music with freedom to move about the Entire house. Also found that the MiniRig Mini was superior to the standard speaker's inside my television. Great sound for size and very impressed with the packaging and overall aesthetic of the Minirig. Have experienced pretty disappointing interference when moving the bluetooth device being used and the range is a little disappointing. However if connected via Aux, superb.

Ok but could be better, not great for cabled use.
Over priced - I think at £99 they are about 50% over priced, I was expecting amazing sound quality per the reviews, but I found it to be just average, build quality is good though and they are made in England which is nice to see.Gripes: Only really suited for Bluetooth use (like the bazillion other Bluetooth speakers out there) as using an audio cable often results in distortion even in the low gain socket, I purchased a pair to use just with audio cables as I have other Bluetooth only speakers. I will need to get an attenuator, and purchase a stereo cable because despite the fact they can be linked, using the cables provided it doesn’t give you stereo sound, which I find baffling - if someone is linking two mini rigs with cables why on earth would they not want stereo? The fact that you can buy a stereo cable separately should have been a clue, but I think it should be made clear in the documentation as I never found out about the stereo cable until after purchasing. Also it should be included, given the price of two speakers, seems a bit mean. There really should be an easy way to set volume when using cables, again I found this quite surprising that it isn’t.Sound quality is ok and they are quite loud given the size, however they are quite noisy with hiss when no music is playing and using audio cables.Overall I’d say for Bluetooth use they are probably ok, for use with cables they are not what I was hoping for, I have better Bluetooth speakers though (which cost less, and are bigger)The packaging is nice, and the included case is handy, the instructions in the box lid could be better, tiny font and quite difficult to read on the natural cardboard colour.I guess I fell for all the hype about these speakers, I will keep them for now and hopefully once I buy an attenuator and a stereo cable they will actually be useful to me.
