Yes. This is a facial cleanser. And ANY facial cleanser can be used in the shower.

Q: Will this clear up blackheads?

Hi Kgal! Yes!The Effaclar Medicated Gel Gleanser with Salicylic Acid targets excess oil, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads for clear skin! We recommend to use this cleanser twice a day. When using, first wet face, apply quarter size amount onto fingers, and only using finger tips, apply gently on face in a rotating circular motion. We hope you give it a try!

Q: Does this cleanser foam up?

Hi there! This cleanser will certainly foam up on the skin. Please use a quarter size amount and avoid your eye area. We hope you love our Effaclar Cleanser!

Q: does this help with acne scars?

It does improve your overall complexion. As with anything non-prescription strength, it takes some time to fade scars however, it minimizes pores and prevents mild acne from returning. I swear by this product line (Effaclar).
