High end monitor with a budget price
This high performance monitor from Samsung exceeds all my needs at a budget price. Below are my pros and cons:Pros:1- Beautiful monitor display, bright sharp colors2- Plug and play monitor -recognized by Windows 11 and Linux Mint with 3840 4K resolution.3- Budget price compared to other major brands.4- Good packaging delivered monitor in perfect conditionCons:1- Big & bulky thick design looks dated2- Stand takes up a large amount of desk space3- Power/Settings button is on back and can be difficult to reach if mounted; would prefer they be under front bezelOverall very happy with this high quality monitor from a top brand Samsung, at a great price.

GREAT 27" 4K MONITOR AT A GREAT PRICE $199
27" 4k quality for $199!! What's not to like. I a not a gamer so I don't need fast frame rates. Colors are bright, with adjustments available thru monitor software. Surfing the internet, paying bills, perusing YOUTUBE videos, this monitor fits my needs. Inputs are HDMI and Display Port only. Although I do see a USB 2.0 input, from reading the manual this port is to update the monitors software. I haven't used this USB port as I use the HDMI via a THUNDERBOLT 4 male on one end ( from MB Air TB4 port ), and a HDMI male ( into HDMI VIEWFINITY monitor port ) on the other end. Works great!! Fits my need perfectly. I can take my MB Air on the road, and when I get home, I use the VIEWFINITY.

Great Monitor!... But... I have reason to believe these are not new, but refurbished screens..
First, you should know, I used to work as a "verified technician" and did repairs on all sorts of Samsung models in the past. If you get an item on arrival that is dead, do not try to go through Samsung, Deal with Amazon first. Now, if this messes up in the future, you may have to deal with them. You don't want this.We were trained to come up with any excuse to say it isn't covered in warranty and make you pay for repairs. So follow the directions on unboxing them to the letter. Hold it right, put a blanket underneath when taking it out of the box, etc.My first monitor was dead on arrival. It had power, but nothing came on the screen. This had a protective film on the screen. My replacement monitor, that worked, did not have the screen protector you peel off. This suggests to me that Samsung has an overstock of these monitors, are not checking the quality before shipping them out. That being said, let amazon handle the return/replacement process if you get something out of the box that doesn't work, they're really great that this! This monitor though, gotta say, awesome for the price (when I got mine that worked). Yes you need to adjust the settings, otherwise it won't look right. HDR looks great (when set up correctly, but a lot of people think it's just a toggle, there's more to it then that).I bought this for gaming and I love how crisp things look. It's easy to assemble, nice size for a small desk. All I wanted was a 4k monitor, as mine was just an old one that only did 1080p. If this is what you're looking for, take a risk, but buyer be warned. My worry is in the future I will have some issues, but for the price, it's good (if you get a good one). These are not new monitors. no way they are, they have all the signs of refurbished ones, and a huge overstock at Samsung, hense the 44% discount or whatever.Apparently they don't work on Macs or apple products, according to the reviews, but this worked perfectly with my NVIDA on PC.Again, it will not look right at first, too dark problem, colors off. you have to go in the settings and tweak it, but if you're not afraid of a lil work, and you just want an upgrade. Perfect choice here!I will update this review if it turns out it's a lemon in a few months or something.

Excellent budget high-res monitor
Beautiful crisp display, in perfect condition. Highly recommend this monitor for the price. I wanted a high-res monitor for work to view two full Word docs side by side, and this is perfect.

Faulty product. Horrible customer service.
I bought this monitor based on Samsung's brand believing I was buying a quality monitor. Unfortunately, a couple weeks after setting it up, the HDMI2 port started to fail and the connection from my laptop would cut on and off randomly. This started once in a while and proceeded to quickly get worse to the point that I could no longer use the port. I called Samsung and they refused to exchange it and said I'd need to send it to a repair center. The repair center was on the other side of the US in New Jersey (I'm west coast) and took forever just to arrive. They then kept it there for 3 weeks while sending automated text and email messages stating all sorts of weird things like there was physical damage to the sides (there was not) and all sorts of other random things. I called and spoke to several representatives over this 3-week period that I did not have a monitor to do my job and every representative said different things including to not pay attention to the text and email messages because they were wrong and I should trust them and not their system. Really shoddy process.Anyway, I finally got a message that they had replaced a part in the monitor and were sending it back. Lo and behold, after a couple of weeks the HDMI2 port is doing the same thing. Switched to the HDMI1 port because I can't deal with not having a monitor for another 3 weeks to do my job. Well, the HDMI1 doesn't flicker, but it does display tiny little red pixels randomly on dark colors, and also shows horizontal lines at random times.Called customer service to request a replacement and have been given the runaround now by 5 representatives, told that a manager would call me back (they never did), told that the monitor doesn't qualify for a replacement because it needs to be sent for repairs twice before they will replace it. Absolutely horrible experience.Samsung is not the company it used to be. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are plenty of other choices for this price.
