Life changing results in a month! Do it!
I started reading this book a month ago. This Doctor is knowledgeable and uses real world science, medication, and alternative regimens. This led me to finally stop drinking Coca Cola which I have had six cans per day since I was five years old.I also cut out all added sugars and started juicing with 50% fruits and 50% vegetables. I now am at 90% vegetables in my juice with half an apple. The amazing stuff is also related to technology. He makes bold statements about technology affecting our lives. I have turned off all notifications except text messages and phone calls. Even those get muted out often.I also started reading labels of everything I consume. I stopped with anything that has more than five ingredients. I often am skipping meat products for four or five days in a row due to all of the crap they put in them GMO, antibiotics, growth hormones, and preservatives.I am on my second reading of the book as the first reading I was consumed with changing habits and missed basically the second half of the book. I am only on Amazon here now because, I wanted to review this book and tell people to buy it. Buy in. Change your life. You can do it. It can start now. If I have a bad day and eat a steak and dessert for dinner, I am right back to health food the next day. The key for me is no added sugar to anything, no candy, and definitely no Coca Cola. I know from the past if I have one Coca Cola I will drink a six pack within a few hours. That is where discipline and changing habits comes in.I have lost ten pounds. Two belt loop sizes which is about three inches around my waist as the pants I was cramming myself into now fit easily with room to spare. My face looks healthy. I am snacking on nuts, dried fruits, and drinking green smoothies that taste better than the sweet stuff used to taste to me.

Easy, actionable tips
I purchased this book after hearing a podcast interview with Dr. Chatterjee. The book is researched based but easy to read. It is written and organized in an accessible and understandable way. The focus of the book is identifying healthy habits that are easily implemented and provide the most "bang for your buck". Dr. Chatterjee offers realistic compromises for strategies that people may be resistant to implement. This book is never preachy, and has numerous real life examples of patients who have adopted the suggestions gradually, but successfully. I found it a quick and enjoyable read. I feel that most people will be confident in their ability to begin to implement beneficial changes in their lives after reading How to Make Disease Disappear.

Not sure it's a cure all, but a guide to better living.
I listened to a podcast of Dr Chatterjee about the 4 pillars of health.I was impressed with the simplicity really and the ability of anyone really to implement these habits. I agree fully with the doctor that none of these suggestions can hurt you (though I'm by no means a doctor). I've been following a challenge program for about 2 years now that implements a lot of these suggestions, one at a time. I will say, the ones I have been able to make habits have definitely improved my health (like the sleep suggestions). I like that the doctor keeps it simple. The book is written with just enough science to make an argument, but in a manner laid back enough to keep the reader engaged. I especially liked that Dr Chatterjee shared his own experiences and struggles.

Simple tools for change
I’ve had the pleasure of listening to Dr. Chatterjees’ podcast as a host and guest. He lays down very obtainable goals to improve one’s health. Dr. Has the science and experience to back up his approach. Enjoyable read! Thank you Dr. Chatterjee!!!

A gentle guide based on firm science
This is a simple, straight-forward, step-by-step (but not overbearingly so) guide on how to gently set yourself on the path to a healthier lifestyle. Not too much science (though it's clear Dr. Chatterjee is committed to health and has done his research!) -- what I mean is that the flow of the book doesn't get bogged down in numbers and charts and graphs. It's all based on clear science, but presented in an easily digestible way, alongside simple tips for incorporating the meat of the research into your daily life. This is a great gift for someone who is looking to make a change, but perhaps doesn't know where to start or is easily overwhelmed by all of the "healthy" options out there.

Life changing book!
This book was my favorite read of the year so far! I heard Dr. Chatterjee on The Model Health Show podcast and it was a very insightful episode. All of the ideas in this book could be applied to ANYONE to enhance their lives. I especially liked the MOVE section of the book as that is where I struggle the most.. getting consistent movement/exercise. The way he lays it out is so simple/organized and makes you think of movement in a different way. I actually look forward to doing the (extremely simple) glute activation exercises!

OBVIOUS. But only after you know it.
Excellent blue print to a better life. No rocket science. Simply many minor changes that all make good sense. When carried out, they must lead to a more healthy life. Now that I’ve read the book and started implementation, I have to ask myself why I didn’t do it before. ☹️This book is a genuine contribution to the well being of mankind.JanCanada

Rangan at his best.
This book was for the American and Canadian market and is similar to the four pillars on the British market. Rangans' philosophy is to try and implement lifestyle changes to help cure diseases rather than automatically reach for the prescription pad. As a N.H.S. G.P. he has had enormous number of successes, much to the gratitude of his patients. His cure relies on the principles of Relax: to reduce stress, Eat: addressing diet, Move: to stress the need for consistent exercise and activity to further good health, Sleep: the healing of good sleep hygiene and each help to prevent and restore your good health. Each principle is as important as each over and observing all of them is what helps your lifestyle restore you to health. Rangan hasn't given up on his patients don't give up on yourself without trying to change your lifestyle for the better even if you are in good health now. I recommend you read this book and any of Rangan's books are worth a read. Even if you don't apply all these methods, adopt what you can.
