ESV Large Print Value Thinline Bible (Trutone, Nav

I had bought various ESV bibles but the typeface was too small for my semi-older eyes. Enter the ESV Large Print Value Thinline Bible. I honestly don't know how they do it. It's an inch thick, yet large print. It's the sort of bible you can curl up in bed with (in contrast to the study bible, review to follow). With patience I got a great price. This bible is pure text, nothing more. I normally prefer hardback (ignorance?), but this faux leather cover is great. It bends, it folds. Above all else, my old eyes can read the print. If you can't read your bible, because the typeface is too small, you're not going to read it. Simple.

This is a nice bible with comfortable size font, not giant size font, but good enough for reading. As this is a thinline bible, the font size is acceptable. The cover of the bible feels really nice. Although the pages are thin, my highlights did not smudge, and does not affect the contents on the next page, so this is a thumbs up. The not so good thing is that this is not a red letter edition, so the words of Jesus are not in red. But for the price, it is acceptable. The bible comes with concordance, so this is a plus. Overall, am happy with this purchase. Highly recommended, if one is ok with not having Jesus’ words in red.

Buonissima fattura, le pagine sono sottili e il libro è compatto e di piccole dimensioni; tuttavia la rilegatura è ottima e le pagine non fanno passare il colore degli evidenziatori chiari. Sono contento di aver scelto questa edizione rispetto ad altre, l’importante ovvio che sia il contenuto ma, in questo caso, l’aspetto esteriore fa comunque largamente il suo !

UPDATE: After using this Bible for about a week, I noticed every time I touched the cover, I would feel a film on my fingers and they would start tingling and burning. Not sure if maybe I'm allergic to the plastic. I decided to put my genuine leather cover over it and now it stinks like plastic and the soft leather of my cover now feels rough! Can't return it because I've already written inside of the Bible... Not to mention it doesn't have Jesus' words in red. anywho, I dunno what I'm gonna do with it but Im not gonna use it anymore. If I was you, I would just shell out the $50 to get a real full grain leather Bible. stay away from bonded leather because it is not 100% leather, it's mixed with synthetic fabric which can't be good for you.. hope this helps. (earlier review is below) Really love this Bible! The print is perfect and very readable and the pages are the softest I’ve ever felt from a Bible before. Really impressed for the price!

It was a gift. They love it and certainly needed it due to the larger font size. Now he’s able to pick his out because everyone else’s is black. This Bible really is nice looking and easy to hold.
