A great value buy!
For being a brand that many have not heard of previously, this reel will be a player once people give it a chance and use it. Spooled it up with 8lb flouro, adjusted the brakes and tension to how i like it and made some casts. Surprisingly smooth is the first thing that comes to mind. The reel is very low profile so once mounted to a rod it isn't big and bulky, it's very light and comfortable. The Eva knobs and very comfortable and not slippery when your hands are wet so that's a plus as well. Both sets of brakes are very easy to adjust so this will be a non-issue even with a beginner in the bait caster world. Good luck and happy fishing!

Went from good to bad...
Update: Reel completely quit working after a little over a month. Wish I still had my $50 to put towards a nicer reel. Junk.I’ve been using this reel for a little over a month now, and it was great right out of the box with some minor adjustments to the tension control and magnets. After a half dozen or so trips and multiple 3-5lb bass catches the reel has started acting up. Spool slips on quick retrieves and the drag seems to loosen itself over time. I oiled it up last weekend thinking maybe it had gotten some trash or water in the internals, but it didn’t help much. Maybe I just got a bad one, but not 100% satisfied.

Great baitcast reel under $50.
This is a great baitcaster for the money! I've got baitcast reels costing 4 to 5 times as much (Diawa) and, although this SeaKnight is not in the same category as those, it is the best reel under $50 in my opinion. Prior to this, my favorite low-cost baitcasting reel was the Abu Garcia Black Max at $39 at Walmart and on Amazon. For $10 more, I would definitely get this SeaKnight ELF. It's very light, smooth, and looks very cool. The "ELF" designation is accurate - it's compact and fits in my hand like a cradled Haas avocado. There's a learning curve to any new baitcasting reel and this one is no different. You have to understand the sensitivities associated with the centrifugal and magnetic brakes on this reel and make appropriate adjustments for your various lure-weights. But this took me only a few hours and several backlashes. This has become my new no-hassle go-to reel when fishing for largemouth on my backyard lake. I have it on an H2O Express 7-foot BoneDaddy rod ($100) medium-fast action and it performs perfectly! Super pleased with this reel.

Wrong Item, Right Box
They did it again. I returned the first incorrect item and they shipped out yet another incorrect item. The box was correct, the SeaKnight ELF-II, but inside was a Piscifun Torrent reel. Both times! Stay away.

Baitcaster well above its price
I received this ELF II and right out of the box I was extremely impressed. Smooth, sleek, lightweight, and very easy to adjust. I think this model will fit perfectly not only in my open water for big bass and pike but also through the ice for pike and heavy jigging. I have loaded it with 50 pound braid and was testing the drag, which is very strong and doesn’t give out. Overall this reel is worth at least twice what it is priced at. I have owned reels anywhere from 20$-250$ and this goes right along with some of the top of the line models.

Great value!
Just wanting to try I cheaper bait casting reel. You can definitely tell the difference in this and a $300 dollar reel but for the price a great reel. It does make a little noise when casting but I can surely live with that, overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

This real is very high quality for very low cost. It Stacks up to the higher and reels that cost a fortune. If you are new to ba
This reel is by far my new favorite. Super lightweight super smooth. I didn't think I can cast 1/8 oz jig on it. I gave it a shot and it goes 30 yards no problem. Also super great for vertical jigging. You can adjust your depth very easy and keep the bait in the strike zone at all times. Most people think this type of real is for throwing big baits and fishing heavy cover for bass. This real is more than that I can even drift floats smoothly for steelhead like a center pin. Drag is smooth and every component is high quality. There is actually nothing I can complain about. Definitely recommended.

This reel won't let you down!
Right out of the gate I was impressed with the reel. Schematics right on the box, look closely at the schematics and you will notice the reel is well put together with quality parts. Some reels claim a high bearing count, that is until you look at their design, most of the bearings they stick into the reel handles to achieve this. The ELF II has all the right bearings in the right place! This reel is smooth and the drag is flawless, it's lightweight and feels durable. If you are new to bait-casters or a seasoned veteran this reel will not let you down!
