Really loved the book and its concept
It is a unique book which allows students to learn unusual methods and tricks to learn various formulas of Mathematics (Trigonometry in general). I have read the part - 1 of the book as well which deals with the formulas of Calculus. Really loved the book and its concept.

Forgettable ways to memorize trig formulas
This is a worthless book. The techniques provided to memorize formulas or to generate values of trig functions for special angles (30 degrees, 45 degrees, 60 degrees, etc) are harder to memorize than the formulas or values themselves. The one easy thing to memorize Sarswat gives is SOHCATOA for the basic trig functions of a right triangle, but everyone knows this already. With more complex trig identities, like the sum and difference formulas, the memorization techniques Sarswat supplies are complicated derivations. But when using the identities, one wants an easy way to memorize them along the lines of mnemonic like SOHCATOA. One doesn't have time to derive them from scratch. You'd be better off thinking up ways to memorize them yourself than purchasing this book.

Marvellous. The book is written in a very simple and easy to understand manner. A must for senior students. I will recommend the book to all maths students because one day junior students will also be needing it.

I am surprised!!
I am surprised to see some of the bad reviews on this book. Which NCERT book teaches methods to learn the formulas? I don't know. Either these persons know all types of persons, who know everything or they do not know how to appreciate good work. As far as I can see, grouping like formulas together, identify patterns, learn derivations where it is one step derivation, left hand finger technique, SOH, CAT TOA and many other general techniques like making a formula copy, practice writing formulas etc.are my take from this book. I have found no other book teaching this. So, go for it.....
