My husband is a CD cleaning fiend.
This was a product my husband wanted to clean his CDs with. I've not heard any complaints from him and I see him using it all the time So it must be very valuable and useful for him It has good cleaning power and clarity there's been no complaints. He likes the size. It's not time-consuming. Well, except he has about 10,000 CDs and he's always messing with them putting them, listing them in a numerical order, and storing them after he cleans them. So I can't really qualify about that but they do leave a good shine and the CDs and DVDs play well after cleaning one that is scratched.

Works Great for Removal of paint/marks but Doesn't remove scratches like it said
4/3/25 update: This may not do as originally intended but this stuff cleans paint marks off your original paint and also cleans the old film off front headlights! All it takes is a little rubbing and like 2 applications! This stuff is like a miracle remover pretty nice! Thank you. Original review: There’s a long thin scratch on the bottom of my wife’s video screen in her new/used 2021 Mazda CX-5. I followed the instructions to a ‘T’. Didn’t do a dang thing did it 3 times! Her screen is plastic and without treatment. However, just today I used it on paint that was transferred to my front passenger side of the bumper area, and it worked great! My bumper is treated too, and I didn’t notice any issue. These guys need to market their product differently. Lol

Really not helpful
When they say "fine scratch remover" the must mean really, really fine. It pretty much did nothing.

Excellent product
I have used this product hundreds of times with excellent results. I think the negative reviews come mostly from people who don't understand the principles of polishing, which are a little more complicated than you might think: 01. In general, you don't buy a polishing compound, you buy a polishing system. Manufacturers, like Novus, make sets of abrasive products that usually go from coarse to medium to fine. In some product lines there are extra coarse and extra fine abrasives. Once in a while you can buy a singe product that does the job, but in most cases it's better to purchase a set (system) of abrasive products in the same product line and learn how they work. That's why this product has a #3 on it. 02. The polishing system that you buy has to be appropriate for the material you want to polish. The Novus system is designed for specific types of plastic. You have to find out exactly what material you have and buy the abrasives that are designed for it. 03.Once you have the right set of products, you start with the product that will remove the deepest scratch. If you have a 1/8" deep scratch in wood, you can't start with 400 grit sandpaper. You'll just end up with a highly polished scratch. In that case you would start with maybe an 80 grit, and then go to 120, 220, 400, and 600 for a really smooth finish. That holds true for every material you will ever polish. The material and polishing products will be different, but the process is always the same. 04. Not all scratches can or should be removed. When you want to remove a scratch, you have to look at how deep it is and think whether you can afford to remove enough surrounding material to get rid of it. Deep scratches (deep enough to feel with your fingernail) in CDs and DVDs usually can't be removed because you'd have to remove so much surrounding material that you would cut through to the data layer. A really deep scratch in an aquarium probably *could* be removed, but you are either going to have to live with a visible "dent" in the surface (the surrounding plastic that you removed) or you have to sand down the entire sheet, which can take quite a bit of time.

I ordered this along with Novus 1 & 2 (all 3 parts are needed) as a last ditch effort to get the scratches out of our acrylic coated fiberglass tub. Started with Novus 3 and within 5 minutes of heavy scrubbing I noticed the scratches being removed. After using Novus 2 for the fine scratches the reflective surface started to show again. Novus 1 is a good polisher/protectant to use before and after parts 2 & 3. Don't expect this to be easy if the damage is significant. It takes a lot of elbow grease and patience to see the results, but there is not much else out there that is safe and readily available for such tasks. I spent about 1.5 hours on a 4sq ft area and it does look brand new now. Much cheaper than having it refinished in this case. To sum it up it is a tremendous product and I enthusiastically recommend it if you have patience and realize not everything can have instantaneous results with minimal effort.

Easy to use and an effective quick way of removing a scratch. You will need to use the grade 2 polish after using the grade 3, to take away the rub marks and polish up the polycarbonate.

Does what it needs to do, within reason. But you really need the full set of 3 to polish out the scuffs left by this product.
