Nice and spicy
I like how quick and easy these beans are to prepare. Just tear a little hole in the top and microwave for a minute. There are a lot of beans and some tomato and onion chunks, all in a thick sauce. There is a lot of flavor and quite a bit of spice, which I like. This may be too spicy for a lot of people, but I think it is a good amount of spice, which still complimenting the flavor of everything else. This makes a very convenient side dish, small lunch, or a snack. I like pouring it over some rice a making a meal of it. Of course, you pay for that convenience, so I save these for when I'm tired and need something quick.

convenient and tasty
I really enjoyed these beans! They come in a nice package that is easy to prepare. The taste is great, with a little punch. Somewhat spicy but my toddler ate them mixed with rice. I think they have a lot of flavor. The beans are mostly intact, with some tomato and onion chunks within the sauce. I have no complaints here.

A good heat and eat side dish
Very convenient to heat these beans in the pouch in the microwave. The beans are in a light sauce. The flavor was good -- definitely more on the medium spice level, less spicy than advertised, in my opinion. An easy two serving side dish option for people on the go.

if this is tex mex style hate to try regular
Not sure where the tex mex style comes into play with these pinto beans. They tasted the same as any pinto beans normally in cans. Maybe I was reading something into the description but thought these would be ready to eat with seasonings and stuff already in them but if they are there I sure couldn't taste them. Also harder to get them out of a pouch than a can.

Spicy side -dish
The Old El Paso Tex-Mex Pinto beans have a medium spicy rating on them but to me, they are very spicy! I normally eat medium salsa but this is a much hotter medium then the salsa I am used to!They are easy to heat up on the stove. or microwave. The package easily tears open and it is easy to empty into to pan. The package says 8.8 ounces and is listed as 3 servings but I think in todays world this is only 2 servings (of a side dish). Mine came with an expiration of May 1 2025.They had a lot of flavor and looked very good.

If looking for vegetarian option, check this out
Looking for a vegetarian option for quick bit to eat. You need to give this a look as this is shelf stable and vegetarian. I keep a pouch at work for quick and healthy lunch.the bell pepper and onions gives this a good combination. If you look at the ingredient list, it's very simple and mostly natural except for the capcicum.I like the convenience of this meal in a pouch and doesn't hurt that it's healthy and decent tasting. And for the price you pay, it's easy on the pocketbook

$3 for a tiny pouch of beans? Idk...
They taste pretty good. They don't have any animal ingredients in them - which is why I gave 3 stars. Otherwise, it's just not worth the price.

About as good as canned.
Old El Paso isn't really well known as being a top-shelf option and more of a convenience provider, and these are right in line with their other products. For the price the quantity maybe isn't the greatest but the packaging and convenience are part of what you're paying for. Easy to prepare and the flavor's "good enough" so for a quick snack to get you by until dinner or similar it's a good option.
