the glass jar works better but this worked fine for my kids at the creek they enjoyed it

Purchased for a child to use during a beach vacation.. after a bit of effort in a saltwater bay tributary.. he succeeded in catching a few small fish.. this trap was fun for him to use.. it’s a bit in the small side.. might even be a good option for aquarium keepers needing to catch fish in a larger aquarium during heavy cleaning duties.

My son loves taking this with us fishing. He's not much into fishing but he loves using this to catch minnows for us to use as bait. It is on the smaller side.

Since receiving this item, I've tried to use it over half a dozen times, and I have not trapped one single fish, let alone anything else. It's made quite well. It's small and convenient. I just wish it actually worked for me.

It’s pretty simple! The lid has a reverse pointed jagged cone that lets minnows swim in but makes it difficult for them to get out. For them to swim in you simply have to try different types of bait to attract them. Could be chopped squid, stink bait, chicken bits, goldfish pellets or flakes that produce a strong odor, etc. I do wish it were a little larger so it can catch more little minnows or larger ones but it does the job for the little guys.

This fish trap is the perfect size. It’s easy to set up and put in the water. The features in it make it easy to collect fish. I highly recommend this.

We used this (with a little bit of goldfish food) to catch minnows to use for fishing.It works Very well, but is a pain to clean out all the goldfish flakes and minnow poo afterwards. Will continue looking for a good cleaning option.Overall, though, I very much like this catcher/holder for little minnows.
