Several forms of magnesium are sold. The bioavability of the different forrms differes a lot. Magnesium(Mg) citrate is relatively bioavable to Mg oxide. Other bioavailable forms are sold for premium prices. I am not a fan of Mg oxide but think the citrate strikes a pretty good balance between cost and availability from the gut.
