OXO Good Grips Large Sink Mat

A year after purchase these mats still look brand new. They are easy to clean and very sturdy. I especially like the fact that the mats are elevated from the sink with short "legs" that are formed into the mat and tolerate vigorous cleaning. Very sanitary. I have not found a better sink mat. Purchase with confidence.

We have used this sink mat for years. Having just moved from Hawai'i to Florida we immediately knew the custom built kitchen was missing an important element. We immediately ordered another OXO sink mat to protect our Kraus sink. The water flows around the bottom of the mat. It is easy to clean. The quality has remained consistently good during multiple purchases.

Perfect color, size, not overly thick but definitely well made. It having feet on the underside so food didn't get stuck on makes my clean up faster. Found out by accident it can handle hot AF plates. Flexible strong material, no odor of any kind. Works nicely and would recommend!

I've been using these for about 3 months now, and they're working well. I got these because height was taller than other options; I wanted it to be as easy as possible for food bits to be washed out underneath the mats. They still seem close to the sink surface, but they do well to let water/food debris flow through. I do clean underneath the mats after every meal clean-up; if you don't do this, food bits might accumulate and get gross (even more for my sink, which has very little to no slope toward the drain). The rigidity also works out better; it's easier to lift, prop, move them around. I have a rectangular sink and got two; the drain is exposed/not covered in the middle, and I place one on each side, so I have flexibility to remove one side. They're holding up well to hot water (though I've never poured boiling water directly onto them, nor do I plan to, and I don't place pots directly from stove on them), as well as pressure when I'm scrubbing the bottom of pots that I've placed on the mats.

My ancestral home has a 1940s double-drainboard double sink that I, personally, have used and abused for over 40 years. I wish I had thought about protective measures prior to now, but better late than never. This sink protector is extremely rigid and cannot be altered to fit the rounded corners in the bottom of the sink, but rather than return it, I ordered another for that purpose and use this one on one of the drainboards. It is plastic, but has a silicone top, making it ok to temporarily use for a hot pot stop. It is amazing how many times that drain board is used and I feel good that all the dirty dishes, cold fridge leftover containers, as well as hot pots aren't damaging the surface of my sink. It also looks so good I do not hide it under the sink when not in use. (Which is a good thing because no one else would think to get it out before sliding dirty dishes across it!) It is so simple and quick to pick up to clean underneath that I do it automatically when finished washing dishes. A swipe across the top is usually good enough most days and when I want to really clean it, it's also an easy handwash item in the sink. I do not have a dishwasher, but think the plastic part would make it unsuitable. This was a great purchase for me.

Purchased mat 5 years ago and still looks great. Absolutely the best item I’ve purchased in a really, really long time. I have never written a review 5 years after purchase, however I was curious how long ago I purchased it and was amazed that this month is the 5 yr anniversary. Do not hesitate to make the investment.
