Right out of the box .. it was pre formatted and ready to go. I put a few small files on and ran some tests to be sure there were no issues. Everything worked well. So , I backed up several large video files (almost 2tb). Everything went as expected and now adding more to it daily. On average, it transferred about 300gb an hour. Maybe not lightning speed .. but quick enough. I have had slower !! GOOD STUFF .. very happy with purchase .. would definitely buy again !!!

I like the way it looks and it's really new HD inside showing "0" hours of use. I'm happy I got a good value for what I paid. Shipping is faster than what it's supposed to be. Transferring of files is really fast and performance-based this is way better than the pricey 12tb external storage. The temperature remain constant and the best part, it's running quite. Highly recommended!

It's been working good for the last couple of months. My only complaint at this time is that it's very noisy.

Bought this 12tb hdd to add to my pc storage capacity. This drive has been a solid performer and is compatible with my windows pc. Has fast write speeds and outperforms my other external hdds. It is fairly quiet compared to other external drives I have tried. Great value for the price

Write rate is slower than traditional drive, not noticeable on AI but definitely noticeable on games.

Did not work at all. Made sure I fixed my settings after reading it could be my computer but still nothing. This cannot be found on my computer. Waste of money and sadly missed my return window is now just sitting there.

just don't, of course, give the hard drive more than one job at a time. let it do one job at time. i gave it a job of 900+ gb transfer - didn't mess with it - did fine. great for replacing your multiple hard drives as you can likely let your old hard drive data from both(or more) hard drives - go into this one. as it may have plenty of room for you. NO, IT IS NOT FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Go to a hard drive data space calculator website and see how much data space you will be getting.

So far so good. This is probably one of the best bang for your buck storage options right now. Especially if you can catch it on sale. It is still working for now but I know referb drives can be hit or miss so your millage may vary.
