Loved the minimalist retro Scandinavian looks of these bedside cabinets, but did have doubts about the build quality and wondered if they could possibly look a bit cheap on assembly.. I needn't have worried as despite the fact they're not solid wood, they do look and feel a lot sturdier and better quality than your run of the mill flatpack. The first thing you realise is how big they are (in a good way) being each over half a metre wide. This results in good wide drawers that you can get a lot in should you need to. That's all the good but please be aware that it's not the easiest assembly. The upper cupboard and drawer assembly is pretty straightforward (being much the same as any other furniture flatpack), but the base (the leg assembly) does require a little thought and patience. I'd say this to the degree that if you're not particularly experienced in DIY it might be worth getting someone who is to at least do this part of the assembly as it takes quite a bit of patience and thought to get all of the components sitting tightly together and completely flat so that it fits snuggly when you screw it onto the base of the cupboard assembly. There are also 4 metal brackets into which the feet screw via 2 black bolts. Just take care to not overtighten these as they easily break given far less tightening than you'd expect (I had to repair one because of this). Despite the fact that I gingerly nipped the rest in after this, the base is still very strong. Just absolutely don't consider using power tools, as anything other than moderate force with hand tools will definitely break these bolt fastenings.. Another factor is the time it takes to assemble. I'm pretty handy yet the first took me nearly two hours (trying to assemble the base satisfactorily) then my second one took about 90 minutes due to the learning curve. All of that said, I'm very glad I got these as they are robust and look superb.

I was excited about this Home Source Bedside Table, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. It has a modern, stylish design, and the two drawers offer decent storage space, but the quality is disappointing. The wood feels cheap and flimsy, and the material chips and scratches easily. Assembly was straightforward, but the finished product doesn’t feel very sturdy. The drawers don’t slide smoothly, which is frustrating for everyday use. It’s fine if you just need a basic nightstand for light use, but if you’re looking for something durable and long-lasting, this might not be the best choice. Looks good, but the quality lets it down.

It's a lovely looking little unit, some of the stylised wear and tear marks just look like massive scratches though but it's still nice enough to put in a corner somewhere

Absolutely gorgeous, highly recommend. Slightly fiddly to put together for a beginner but someone who's used to flatpack it is easy. Very happy with them, lovely oak look and great finish.

Each panel has very noticeable scratches. The manual says installation takes 35 minutes, but I spent a serious two hours and only managed to complete the main structure—the drawers aren't even installed yet. Overall, the assembly is very complicated, with many different types of screws and fittings. It really takes way too long to put together. It's very heavy, and returning it would be too much trouble, so I’ll just make do with it.
