The shepherd's hook was easy to put together, and is strong and sturdy. The hooks can be moved and arranged as desired. I clamped it to my deck railing, and put a bird feeder, bird bath, and suet cake feeder, and was able to arrange it so that the squirrels will at least have to work to get at the seed and suet cake. Very happy with the purchase, and the finish on the metal was nicely done.

I really like the look of this clamp on deck hook and the ease of assembly. The strength of this item is probably best suited for lightweight to medium duty use. I would have liked it to be taller and would not load it down with too much weight. For me, it is perfect for a multiple hummingbird feeders and will allow placement right outside my kitchen window. Unfortunately, the lower height makes most bird feeders hanging on a Shepherd's hook easy for squirrels and raccoons to access from your deck rail. I like it for my purpose but you may wish to consider how you intend to use this item.

This is by far the BEST one I have purchased. It is made extremely well and is very solid. I wish I could purchase another extension to put in the middle to raise it even higher because now a Raccoon decided to climb onto the railing and feed himself at night when it is dark out. I just need it to be 6 - 12 inches higher LOL “NEVER A DULL MOMENT”

The idea is cute, but the entire structure does not stay upright… possibly due to railings that are not wood. The arms do not stay where I position them.. so.. it’s ok.. it’s functional, I don’t love it but not enough to send it back.

For some reason my brain didn't make the connection that this birdfeeder pole only has a clamp for the base, not something that you can stand on the floor/ground. I really wanted to put this up on my balcony since I got a couple of birdhouses. My balcony railing is thick concrete and I don't have any furniture that would provide enough stability to use this. It is easy to assemble and looks like it would be durable. Will update if I figure out something to clamp it to.
