The flavour is bold and smooth, with a proper Italian espresso profile. You get a nice crema on top, which is something many compatible pods don’t manage well. The pods fit perfectly in my A Modo Mio machine (I have the Lavazza Jolie) no resistance, no leaks, no water dripping. Each coffee is consistent in taste and intensity. What I like most is the balance: strong but not bitter, and very aromatic. If you prefer espresso with a bit more body than the standard Lavazza pods, these are a great choice. For the price, the quality is excellent. Highly recommended if you want authentic Italian flavour without paying premium prices.

Weak and watery do not buy

Good product

I have been buying the capsule for two years now. I have always been happy. However, the last purchase contained capsules appearing different (the one on the left). I contacted customer service of caffe’ Borbone to enquire if they were the same, they said “yes, only the packaging is different “ however, I find these new capsules more BLAND. I always use two in my Latte in the morning but while in the past the flavour was strong, these last ones - in my opinion - produce a more watery taste. Is it just me?

I've been drinking Lavazza red, strength 11 for years and have become a bit bored with the same flavour and shocked at the ever increasing price, so am happy to report that this far cheaper alternative is delicious.
