I had so many Tamagotchi Connections as a young teen. I adored them. I've continued to collect as an adult and was so happy when these re-releases were announced! They're fun, companionable, and very very cute. Really looking forward to adding more shell designs to the collection (hint hint, Bandai!)

Absolutely terrible. Bought 4 of them for Christmas and within 24hrs the batteries had died 12 times. One of them had the battery die 6 times in one day. Absolutely not fit for purpose and caused more heartache than joy.

If you own shares in a battery company then this is a great toy, but otherwise... Not worth it. They look cute, have all the same nostalgic features as the originals but the battery life is appalling. The pink one went through four batteries in the space of a week and none of the tips we found online helped. The blue one lasted slightly longer but even that ran out very quickly (2 batteries in a week). The fun of playing with your little pet is not worth the cost and effort of replacing the batteries constantly, especially when some of the tips for extending battery life include "keep the sound off" and "don't play as many games". I definitely never had to change the battery on my original tamagotchi this much back in the day so I assume they're just shipping out a cheap, short-lived product to capitalise on the nostalgia without bothering to check they actually work properly first. Seriously. Even cheap batteries (which is not what we were using) should last more than a day, and you shouldn't have to avoid one of the main selling points of the toy (being able to play games with your tama) in order to use it! The nostalgia is great and if you want something to play with for a week and then forget about, fine, but if you actually want a functioning toy that you can enjoy and raise more than one generation on, this is not it.

The usual tamagotchi! Just it ran out of battery within the first two weeks of having it… which seems weird.

The tamagotchi itself is very fun to use, and the fact that it comes in a two-pack is great. However, despite having read some reviews mentioning battery life before purchasing I am quite disappointed at how frequently the battery needs replacement indeed. It's happened twice on the pink one and three times on the blue one. Each time I replaced with a brand new high quality battery, and even tried to keep the sound off to prolong battery life... To no avail! So just something to keep in mind if you're thinking of buying it.

me lo compré para rellenar un vacío de mi alma con algo de nostalgia. no sentí lo mismo y de hecho m sentí peor por no sentir nada pero el producto está muy bien cumple su función supongo las pilas son basura x cierto la tuve que cambiar a los 2 días.
