Are Human Soul Energies Recycled by the Fungi?

Extremely Interesting
This is an extremely interesting view of the recycling of the human soul. I had a difficult time getting through it because it reads like a textbook on a difficult subject.

Challenging and stimulating ideas
This is a challenging and stimulating exploration into the world of science and metaphysical ideas related to microbiomes and the realm of fungi. Themes include both human and cosmic aspects about the meaning of life, death, the nature of consciousness, and the evolution of the soul. To help support his philosophical and metaphysical speculations the author grounds much of his thinking on his personal work and commitment to the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff, commonly known as the Fourth Way. The author’s enthusiasm for his subject matter is contagious and fun to ponder even when it may not always seem so plausible.

Soul or Not the interrelatedness of all things is undeniable
That fungi are major factors in the natural world in the ongoing continuity of life beyond death is a metaphor for the underlying mystical nature of life. The book confronts us with a paradox like the idea that having a goal is an obstacle to achieving it. The book sets the mind to think while encouraging it to stop.

An exploration into the interconnectivity of life in the natural world and beyond
The author delves into the ubiquitous presence of fungi connecting the human biome as well as a subterranean network that communicates with every form of vegetation, thus creating a biosphere on a grand scale. Indeed, satellite photography reveals a living and breathing Amazon Jungle in the process of photosynthesis. Just as a bee that lives for twenty days is an integral part of a hive that lasts for years, the fungi comprise a microbiome that is at the root of all life.Mr. Cohen makes the case that fungi are the nexus of all living things and are thereby, possibly responsible for the next frontier of the metaphysical and spiritual world.A thoughtful and insightful read.

Expands understanding of human & universal life
A reader is challenged by this volume to integrate logical & emotional thinking, where fungi are the bridge... It's not possible to leave this book without thoughts arising & gnawing at one's consciousness to think in new ways about being human and about one's soul... That has me going back again to various passages to review my understanding and to think in additional ways... I have read no other book that has ever challenged my conscious & subconscious in such a manner... I could get a headache if I don't pay attention...In the area of Black Holes, it had me thinking newly of two separate realms, one on this side of the abyss of the hole and one on the other... Is this where souls end up? Is this where matter at the 'bottom' becomes antimatter? It's no longer just a Black Hole for me...Five stars possibly could be assigned, however, my reaction to punctuation was triggered by my past editing of many educational tomes & essays... Not being pedantic, just human, with a soul... No matter what, a reader will come away stimulated to think in new ways... NJMHO

A Challenging and Insightful Read
A metaphysical treatise that explores the interconnectedness of nature, humanity and the universe. Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson similarly posited the interconnectedness of the universe and that everything is part of a constant flux between matter and energy. Mr. Cohen takes the reader on his existential journey relating us to nature and the universe. I highly recommend this book to explore alternative insights and perspectives that you may not have pondered.
