10721 Fertilome Geranium Hanging Basket and Pansy Plant Food, 1.5-Pound

I bought this and two other fertilizers based on the recommendation of a video on how to have success with hanging baskets - which I had never had in the past (but, full disclosure, I really did not try that hard in the past - I expected everything to take care of themselves :-). This year I purchased the cocktail of three fertilizers that were recommended in the video and rotated between them throughout the season. I would water all of the plants, and then use one of the fertilizers once every two weeks for not only my hanging baskets but also my small vegetable garden and my numerous flower beds. Everything looked fantastic this year and the vegies were delicious. And even though the season is almost over (no frost yet, but soon) many of the flowers are still very much in bloom. I will be using this and the two other fertilizers every year, no doubt!

Watered this basket everyday for a week with Fertilome 20-20-20 fertilizer until it started draining out of the bottom. 1 teaspoon per gallon of water. I saw this fertilizer on a nursery site showing how to take care of hanging baskets. Did not expect this kind of results.

I have posted two photos, one on July 10 and one on July 13, same exact petunia basket, with a huge difference. I had to double-check the date twice because I could have sworn that one was June 10 with the lesser growth and the fuller growth a month later, but they were only THREE days apart!! I do admit, though, that I have been alternating the Fertilome Geranium Hanging Basket and Pansy Plant Food with their same branded Bloom and Root fertilizer, so it could have been a combo of the two, although I did forget to do the Bloom and Root and fertilized twice in a row with this 20-20-20 product.I was using Miracle Gro for a while, and it was all fine for my generic gardening needs, but as I got more "technical" with my fertilizers and what I want to accomplish (more leaves, more flowers, stronger roots, etc) I turned to a more balanced fertilizer such as this one.I started to place my petunia hanging baskets on a large bucket when I water with this solution, so I can catch the drain-off and water my other plants with it, instead of letting all that fertilizer water run down my driveway.This is a great product and I am believer!

I have used other soluable fertilizers including Miracle Grow. While they all work this one works better by far. I learned about fertilome when I saw great looking plants at a shop. I asked what fertilizer they were using. Plants leaves take on a healthier move vibrant color as well as flowers. I have stopped using the other fertilizers in favor of this one.

I love how easy it is to use but it will not zip closed. The zipper is not there. Just an inconvenience.

I've tried several different fertilizers but this is hands down the best. If you want huge overflowing baskets, this is what you need. I will buy again and again.

This product is misrepresented in your product photo. Product comes in a Ziploc bag now, instead of a plastic tub. After reading the other reviews that stated the product is delivered in a Ziploc bag, I decided to save my sturdy, plastic container that they USED to send product in. Luckily, I read reviews because had I not saved my large plastic tub, I would have nowhere to store it. The plastic seal doesn't zip tight because the granules get in the way.I still love this product for growing plants and flowering bushes. It's the best that I've found. I wish they still used the old plastic tubs.

First season using this product. My flowers are phenomenal, I get so many compliments. I used this product on my Roses, Gerber Daisies, Ivy Geraniums, Impatiens, Marigolds, 2 varieties of Petunias, Dianthus (strawberry parfait) and Ageratum (aloha blue). It’s amazing, I highly recommend this product.
