Accessible and implementable !
The book is filled with ideas and step by step guidance on how to go about implementing them.Trainers will benefit from adopting a combination of these methods to suit their own audiences.I can see how useful these ideas are for early and mid-career executives and some ideas like follow-upnewsletters and curated content could also work for more senior levels who may not have time for accountability buddies. What would have madethe book even more useful is to think of the'type of training goals and the type of method that might be best suitedfor each to help the people at the beginning of their training journey. Overall an accessible book withclear writing and helpful suggestions. Easy to read.

Implement a 3-Month Plan or Cherry-pick Great Ideas
If you do any kind of training and if you want to support your trainees to use what they've learned afterwards, Chris Fenning outlines 39 ways in this comprehensive book of follow-up methods, activity ideas, communications, tasks, and events. Fenning's 10 Reminders & Reinforcement Tools include everything from a very detailed 3-Month Plan for long-term trainee retention to something simpler like a monthly Themed Newsletter. His 39 ways include: activity ideas to help your trainees put what they have learned into action; suggestions for recognizing and rewarding progress after the training; live follow-up events; self-pacing methods; peer collaboration ideas, and real-time feedback. I like how, after each overview, Fenning outlines a step-by-step process in detail to help implement the methods in the book. He shares examples and case studies to boost understanding as well as various tasks and challenges trainers can share with trainees for reinforcement post-training. With the many follow-up ideas and methods that Fenning outlines, I think any trainer can pick and choose what will work best for their trainees and program. I know I will implement a 3-Month Plan at some point, so I appreciate having it well organized and outlined for me in great detail. For right now, I’m cherry-picking ideas. This resource doesn’t have to be read or implemented cover to cover. It’s easy to find and customize ideas I can use.
