This 21st century watch epitomises the blacksmith and the profession that Thomas Tompion, the man regarded as the Father of English Clockmaking, first took on when he started to work. The late English clockmaker Thomas Tompion, for whom our brand is named after, learnt his skills at the feet of his father and we have followed that tradition by trying to emulate him with our new watches. The Blacksmith TTA-010012151 is a man’s watch with a crisp white dial, polished case, clear numbers, precise 35 jewelled self-winding movement, and a smart hand stitched black leather strap with a matching branded buckle. The self-winding automatic movement which can been seen at the open heart on the dial and by turning the watch around and gazing upon the exhibition case back, featuring an oversized date window and two sub dials showing the day and month. The hand polished round 48mm case is made from stainless steel, is 14mm in thickness and weighs 130 grams. The strap is 20-22 mm wide and 85x120mm in length. The complete range of Thomas Tompion wrist watches are hand assembled and polished, arrive in a branded presentation box with an instruction booklet with warranty details. It is also water-resistant to 5ATM (50 meters).
