The fabric is tricky to unfold/peel apart as the silver side was stuck together, edges were unevenly cut, & fabric had lots of tiny holes in it that let light in, very disappointing.

I wake up, on the dot once dawn breaks because of the light, despite blackout blinds, blanket lined curtains and an eye mask. I thought to add these to my armoury when the came available on Vine. They looked plausible.When the pack arrived I just wondered what to do with it and only when I finally read other reviews did I realise you have to peel apart the black fabric to reveal the silver side. I rather lost the will to live during this process, took a couple of hours and wasn’t easy as I have arthritic hands.The pack comes with stickers and a handy tape measure the idea being you measure up the window, cut to size and, fix them up. I have 2 Georgian, tall windows and if I thought this might work, I would buy another but I really don’t think these are worth the bother putting them up and down and I don’t really want to stick stuff all over the windows.Also, it’s not clear from the last pics but, once pulled apart the fabric is full of holes.Portable? Well if you cut to fit a window, you need to ensure the next window it’s used on is the same size.Pics above show the extent of the fabric stretched across a king sized bed. Another shows it hitched up to a window with a blackout blind above.Cheap but, too faffy, I’m going to find another use for this large sheet of fabric.

This black out blind is useful in the summer months when it gets bright early and still bright late at night for young children.It is fairly simple to install but more fiddly than other blackout blinds I have used. I much prefer a portable blind with suction cups. Overall, the blind is ok value for money and helps to darken the room.
