Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

I first saw this product at a friends bbq and knew I had to get one. Well I bought it last week and missed delivery as I had to pop out after waiting in all day. Sods law that delivery was attempted 30 minutes after I left. Anyway, it was back out for delivery the following day and I can honestly say its brilliant. Comes with variety of power lead cables for the different regions which I dont think I'll have much use for but hey.Very easy to set up. Practically switched it on, scan my phone to find device via bluetooth and ta da. Connected. The sound quality is fantastic even when turned up. I'm a bass lover so this speaker is perfect. I have literally not stopped playing it since I got it. Words cannot express how clear this speaker is. Listened to a few songs that ive known for years and im hearing things ive never picked up before.Measurement are approx 31cm across front. This will include the spherical shape. Approx 15cm from front to back measuring from bottom front to the support legs. The legs themselves measure 18cm apart. They are quite sturdy and the speaker wont do its own magical dance across your choosen surface ;)I chose this speaker without even looking at any others to be honest as I was sold from the day I first heard it. Plus it looks good!

My boss bought one of these into work, and I had to get one. The sound quality from this fairly small device is just stunning, deep solid bass but still with clarity and subtlety on the high bits. With YouTube or your own playlists every song you can think of is suddenly available, at a fantastic volume and in brilliant quality. Word of advice, if you're using it with iPhone 4s and having trouble pairing, just press the Bluetooth button on the rim of the speaker. It doesn't tell you this anywhere! It comes with UK, US, Australian and European mains adapters, charges in about 3 hours and lasts for 5 hours on a charge. It's the perfect speaker to use in the garden or kitchen, no wires and no fuss. I've listened to more music since I got this than I have in a couple of years, it's so easy to just get what you want in a flash and hear it properly. Can't praise this thing highly enough, worth every penny. Buy one!

The HK Onyx studio provides a great overall sound quality and can reach quite a loud volume for indoor listening. The bass is a little flat in comparison to other competitors such as the sonos range, but for only £100 price paid, the Onyx's price difference makes up for it (sonos £200 for one speaker). The Onyx is Bluetooth only and there are no ports to connect it to any out or inputs, so its only real use is for Bluetooth devices such as phones, tablets and possibly computers. The base of the speaker is supported by two silver feet which make it stable only really on flat surfaces, so this is not suited for outside use e.g. on the grass. The Onyx does however have a chargeable battery which means you can take it on the move without any mains adapter. On this note it does come with a variety of mains adapters for different countries (including the obvious UK one) which is useful if you are travelling with it. Overall the HK Onyx is a brilliant and stylish little speaker that makes an excellent edition for the future generation of home stereos. For sound reviews just check youtube and you will find that it does quite well.

Ok. this bluetooth speaker by harman kardon is amazing! You will not believe it how loud it sounds - with crystal sound - until you hear it!!! It is awesome!I definitely recommend it if you want a really loud and very high quality bluetooth speaker.You can easily move it around your house (not ideal though for travelling because it is not that small), it looks fantastic with black matt finish, and it has a re-chargeable built in battery that lasts about 5 hrs. The bluetooth connection with my samsung galaxy s4, my samsung player 4,2, and my sony vaio laptop was soooo easy! It was done within seconds. I just turned on the speaker, then turned on bluetooth on my devices (separately) and that was it! I can stream music from my laptop, mobile phone and mp3 player. To be honest I listen to my music much more now than before......Also the price was very good in my opinion for a speaker like this. only downside is that there is only bluetooth connection and not an aux in for example, but it is fine with me.All in all very satisfied!

As an owner of both the Soundlink Mini and now this, I enjoy both for slightly different reasons. The Mini sounds incredible for the small size it is, the best in the really portable size class. But if you want an even bigger and deeper sound in the next step up 'just about' portable class, the Onyx is the one. The other reviews don't lie, the bass will really rock you and goes deeper than what the Mini can squeeze out of it's size. The clarity in the upper frequencies is decent but not quite as good, but a bit eq twiddling helps bring it out a bit more. And it goes LOUD with minimum distortion,unlike some speakers I've heard. The unique shape & placement of the speakers & dual radiators must have something to do with this.The 'Onyx Studio' is the younger brother of the more expensive similar lookling 'Onyx', the main difference being it sacrifices the aux port & Airplay/Wifi/DLNA connections. This is bluetooth ONLY which is perfectly fine for me. Takes seconds to pair up & then you can start the party.

Sorry, just opened it & one of the legs had broke on it.The sound is good but it won't stand up.How do I exchange it for one that is not broken?

Very good sound but stopped working after 9 months. No response from on/off button. Product could not be returned after 30 days.

Harman/Kardon è sinonimo di qualità audio proprio come Bose o Shure. La qualità costruttiva mi ha lasciato sorpreso: ottimi materiali, corpo opaco e piedistalli metalizzati. Griglia estraibile e facilmente ripulibile dalla odiatissima polvere!Certo...è un impianto BT portatile quindi non aspettatevi una cassa potentissima (15W che comunque si fanno sentire eccome)!ALTI: voto 9. Definiti e davvero cristallini;MEDI: Voto 10. Frequenze che rispondono davvero bene voto 10;BASSI: voto 8.5. Fanno il loro lavoro! Ma senza essere ecessivi. Equilibrati.BATTERIA: voto 7. Riesce ad avere una buona durata. Ciononostante a livelli alti tende a scaricarsi velocemente..una batteria di questa capienza è un pò troppo bassa.. sarebbe stato più giusto aver installato una da 5000mA.

cet enceinte est superbe, elle permet d'écouter de la musique en bluetooth. Au niveau des connexions seul le bluetooth est disponible, pas d'entrée auxilliaire ou de Wifi.On trouve 4 boutons physiques sur l'enceinte : Vol+, Vol-, Power et Bluetooth. L'enceinte tient sur 2 petits pieds chromés assez jolis mais la robustesse est à voir. L'enceinte possède aussi une petite poignée pour la transporter. Cette enceinte est assez lourde, cela inspire confiance. Au niveau des prises on trouve une prise micro usb pour les "mises a jour" et une prise classique pour charger l'enceinte.Concernant le son, il est très puissant, on trouve sous la grille amovible 2 tweeters, 2 médiums et 1 radiateur dédié aux basses qui traverse l'enceinte de chaque part de l'enceinte. On peut voir le radiateur à l'arrière de l'enceinte vibrer, c'est impressionant !Le son est vraiment très puissant, il envoie 60 Watts, il monte haut et ne sature pas même au maximum du volume.Le chargeur ressemble à un chargeur de pc, il est livré avec 4 prises pour les différents pays.Pour résumer, c'est une très bonne enceinte pour animer des petites soirées ou pour les amateurs de bon son !

Excelente precio para un producto de esta calidad. Llevo 1 mes buscando altavoz bluetooth. He leido decenas de comentarios. He visitado el blog de Oluvs el cual he hecho decenas de videos y comparativas. He leido lqs opiniones de amazon.com de todos y cada uno de aquellos productos que se perfilaban como mi compra ideal. Me compre el braven 850 en la web de braven europa por 179,90 euros porque lo tuvieron en promocion durante un mes. Su precio es mucho mas alto.Bueno pues el braven 850 en cuanto a sonido me decepciono y dejo amargor por haber gastado tanto dinero. Si bien la calidad de fabricacion y utilidades que presenta son excelentes. Por ejemplo manos libres, 20 horas de autonomia, posibilidad de cargar ipad e iphone, 20 w de potencia, etc.Total que como no estaba contento me pense comprar el bose soundlink mini que descarte porque Oluv decia que es el mejor altavoz portatil pero para volumen bajo. Pense en el Ears ultimate de logitech que descarte porque sonaba con pocos graves. Pense en el jbl charge 2 que segun Oluv en su blog es de lo mejor. Pense en el tdk A34 que amazon lo tiene a un precio imbatible de 100 euros en negro y rojo pero lo descarte porque muchas gente habla fatal de la bateria. Pense en el creative Roar que también desestime. Total que me decidi por el infinity One por potencia y sonido y porque en las pruebas de Oluv sonaba de maravilla. Problema amazon españa no lo vendia aun. Y desde America me dalia muy caro.No sabia que hacer. El braven con sus 20w suena alto y bien pero depende de la ecualizacion que le hagas y no lo considero idoneo para la musica que yo fundamentalmente oigo, que es electronica, house, chill out con muchos graves. El braven para otro tipo de musica suena de escandolo, alto, claro, muchos matices pero no era para mi electrohouse.Total que casualmente veo este producto.. Lo busco en el blog de Oluv a ver si hay una comparativa y la encuentro con el bose mini. La leo, leo comentarios de la gente que lo ha comprado y me queda mas o menos claro que puede ser lo que busco..Lo compro jueves y me llega viernes. Lo preparo, pruebo y comparo con braven.Es lo que yo buscaba. Cierto que es menos portable fuera de casa. En casa es comodo pasarlo de un lado a otro.. Cierto que no tiene entrada aux para conectarlo por cable. Cierto que su bateria dura 5 horas, aun tengo que comprobarlo y cierto que no es manos libres ni carga el ipad como el Braven. Peeeerooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Estoy alucinado y encantado y maravillado con su sonido. Es lo que estaba busacando maravillosos graves y profundidad. Si quieres no hace falta ni ecualizarlo con el movil. No obstante le tengo subido la gama de agudos y bajados los medios y graves y estoy encantado. Por este precio me compraria hasta otro para emparejarlos y tener sonido estereo pero no se puede hacer esta funcion en ellos. Cosa que en el braven si se podia.Recomiendo la compra, por supuesto a quien quiera potencia muy buen sonido y calidad del mismo. Quien lo quiera para llevarlo a la playa o al campo es un poco incomodo pero se puede sin problemas.Total he dejado el braven para tenerlo con mi imac y para cuando necesite mas portabilidad fuera de casa y esta MARAVILLA en casa. Cuando estoy en salon o duchandome o en cocina.Olvidado comentar que uso iphone 6 y nunca la app que viene por defecto Música en el móvil ni ninguna de sus ecualizaciones pues son pésimas.Uso la app Denon Audio y una ecualización personalizada para sacarle todo el jugo al altavoz. la diferencia es de la noche al día con la de apple.He usado también las siguientes ap de ecualizaciones, Equalizer, Equ y Ecualizador + Pro. Todas compradas y todas desechas porque la Denon es la que más me satisface con diferencia. Incluso no entiendo como calcando las ecualizaciones de una app a otra suenan distintas. La de Denon es la que mejor resalta las frecuencias. MI HUMILDE OPINION.

Eigentlich nicht meine Art, eine Bewertung zu schreiben, aber da ich seit über 2 Jahren auf der Suche nach der, für mich passenden Lösung bin, möchte ich mich kurz zu dem Produkt äußern.Vermutlich geht es jedem von uns so, dass man auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Produkt Seiten über Seiten an Bewertungen ließt und man sich gerade beim Selbsttest fragt, meinen die Leute tatsächlich dieses Produkt!?Musik, und die Art und Weise wie diese empfunden wird, ist absolut subjektiv und auch wenn ich keine Ahnung von den technischen Komponeten habe, wollte ich schon damals die "Eierlegenden Wollmichsau". Wie ich relativ schnell feststellen musste, gab es diese Lösung vor einem Jahr nicht und selbst bis heute (Juli 2014) kenne ich keinen mobilen Lautsprecher,der diesem Anspruch gerecht wird. Also musste eine Grundsatzentscheidung her, mit der Frage, was möchhte ich eigentlic!? Meine Antwort auf diese Frage ist, den "besten Sound" den man in dieser Kompaktklasse kriegen kann. Aus dem Grund und aus mangel an Konkurrenz (im Bereich der All in One Lösungen) habe ich mich im ersten Schritt für einen stationären Lautsprecher entschieden, eine BeoPlay A9 von B&O. Trotz der recht stolzen Anschaffungskosten, kann ich nur jedem dazu raten, der das nötige Kleingeld aufbringen kann...Unbefriedigend war für mich nur die Tatsache, das meine Beoplay auf drei Holzbeinen steht und bei einem Gewicht von - gefühlten - 50 kg in keiner Weise den Anspruch eines mobilen Lautsprechers erfüllt, den man von Raum zu Raum oder auch mal mit auf den Balkon nehmen kann.Ich suchte also weiter (Bose, Löwe, Sony, B&W,...) und ich war bereit für eine vernüftige Lösung bis zu 350€ auszugeben. Auch hier bin ich als Benchmark bei einer Beolit 12 (B&O) gelandet, die für mich den - nach unzählichen Vergleichen - ausgewogensten Klang bietet. Wer also die Anschaffungskosten von aktuell 499€ (vorher 699€) über hat, dem kann ich die Box nur empfehlen, da die Anlage nicht nur durch Ihr Retrodesign überzeugt ...Für mich waren die folgenden Komponenten wichtig:1. guter Sound (immer im Verhältniss zur Größe und des somit technisch machbaren zu sehen)2. gute Verarbeitung3. Akku4 .DesignTja, und nach langem Suchen bin ich endlich angekommen...Die Box von Harman Kardon ist für den Preis ein absoluter Traum und für derzeit ca. 150€ absolut konkurenzlos - zumindest was den Sound und das Design angeht.>> Ich brauche keine Box, die ich in meinen Rucksacken packen und mit an den See nehmen kann - dafür ist der Speaker einfach zu unhandlich und zu groß - und ich benötige ich auch keine Box, die ich gleichzeit als Freisprecheinrichtung für mein Handy nutzen kann. Ich benötige auch keine Box, die ich mit einem Klinkenstecker und mit meinem Handy verbinden kann...Das alles bietet euch diese Box "nicht", aber dafür bekommt einen unglaublich tollen Sound für das Preisleistungsverhältnis!!!Wer eine moblie Lösung sucht, ganz nach dem Motto, klein, handlich, guter Sound, tolle Verarbeitung, dem kann ich den Soundlink Mini empfehlen.WICHTIG: Da es sich hierbei um ein Produkt handelt, dass anscheinend ausschließlich auf dem Amerikanischen Markt vertrieben wird, muss für das Ladekabel ein Stromkabel gekauft werden. Ich gehe allerdings davon aus, dass sich ein solches Kabel in jedem Haushalt befindet...

Compre este altavoz estando en oferta porque me parecía que tenía una gran diseño, la marca es muy reconocida y las reviews que había leído eran buenas. La verdad es que no me ha defraudado nada en ningún sentido. El altavoz es precioso, casi lo pondría incluso como elemento decorativo sin su funcionalidad de altavoz, el sonido es buenísimo y muy potente, la batería dura bastante y es muy práctico poder moverlo a cualquier habitación. La única pega que tiene (y que puede ser relevante para mucha gente) es que no tiene entrada de audio de 3.5mm. Esto limita sus posibilidades pero si sabes lo que estás comprando no debería ser un problema. COn el móvil o el PC va de maravilla. Todos los equipos reconocen el altavoz bastante rápido y una vez los tengas "pareados" es tan sencillo como dar dos clicks o simplemente activar el bluetooth del dispositivo para poder escuchar la música.LO MEJOR- El diseño es increíble. El altavoz es realmente bonito.- El sonido es muy bueno y el altavoz es muy potente.- La batería dura bastante.- Es fácil de conectar a dispositivos con Bluetooth.LO PEOR- Que no tiene entrada de 3.5mm.Una compra muy recomendable a un buen precio. Si se necesita la entrada auxiliar (3.5mm) se puede comprar el Onyx Studio 2.
